just upgraded my dash 50 because it didnt have compression now i have plenty and it still doesnt want to start.. motor turns over electric start cranks timing is good oil and gas are there carb is set..could it still be a stator or something to do with the cvt transmission any help to this issue would be appreciated

Yes, since you were messing with the top end, did you reconnect the GROUND WIRE from the motor to the Frame. If not the Spark Plug will not fire. So check if your Spark Plug is fireing when you hold it against the MOTOR. It may fire holding it to the Frame but that is not good enough it has to fire when grounded to the motor. Alleyoop

i agree with Al i hear all these no start probs with BBK's glad mine didnt have any gremlins. also just for snits and giggles check to make sure nobody hit the kill switch to the OFF position on the handlebars too.. hav a gud weekend an good luck! terry

yeah double check all your connections. one time i was getting annoyed and couldn't figure it out, turned out one of the wires on CDI connect and had worked it's self loose, of course i also replaced my throttle cable and a few other things.

yeh all connections are there its getting spark...everything is set properly in the right place..turns over exhaust has a grumble like it wants to be rode...just curious if the stator would do me wrong ya know ive got power through the bike it turns over though....could the transmission be an issue and if so what to check?

not sure if this is the same thing but, the last time i replaced my belt it was acting all Fed up and would start and if it didn't wouldn't idle. The variator had locked up, probably from using an impact trying to get the nut off. long story short a few weights went sideways. it was basically stuck is gear.
