I have a case coming. the inside of the other one was also messed up.

ran low on oil when case broke scorched piston looks like its going to need the block maybe u can get a short block

That piston is finished.. probably the cylindar walls to... May be cheaper to replace the engine...

I had one like that on kawasaki, except it got really cold after getting real hot is hardened the wrist pin which had to br removed with pound hammer/sledge. it was all blue and purple.

You'd think right? Buddy has the same engine and his ran without oil for much longer than this one did when the case cracked. Piston looks ten times worse on his and runs like a top thanks to Lucas oil additive. The entire piston, cyl head, rings, complete.... is only $75 on ebay so not a big deal......

however I'm not bothering with it just yet. After seeing how well his runs on Lucas with much worse scarring me thinks I'll just put it together and enjoy it for a bit. (hopefully)

This bike is godawful cheap to work on.

Sound like that engine has a design problem..two with the same crack?

Well it's just a Lifan 150,200,250 cc engine

if it's chain drive you could technically put any engine you want in there.

So the case is here and the hole for the shift tumbler is a little different. Looks like it will fit though so let's give it a shot!

I believe this ATV was an automatic based on what I am seeing.

WOW!! I see quite a few differences in the new case.

They are all for manual V/S automatic differences so irrelevant in this case since I am going to manual and the changes for Auto won't be necessary. Should go well, the test fit looked good. We'll see!

Putting the engine in the bike now!!!!!!!! I bought some Lucas products to help with the piston wear and hopefully it'll run well enough to last through this summer then I'll decide if I wanna rebuild the top end or stick a totally different motor in it.
