I will be 70 this weekend normally birthdays are not a big thing with my wife and I but 70 is a BIG one to me.
For the past few weeks the wife has been saying she has big plans this weekend. She took today and Monday off. Last night after work she went to an Italian place and got an assortment of food. When she got home I told her it was a lot of food she said tomorrow we go for breakfast then lunch at home so we'll finish what's left and have dinner out at one of the restaurants she had picked for the weekend. All week long she has been saying there is a package coming please do not open it just put it in the spare bedroom. As we were eating last night I mentioned I'd never seen a package. She said when we got done she'd call our son and see how he shipped it and tell him to put a trace on it. Just then her cell phone rings and it's our son she proceeded to tell him the package had not arrived as she was talking there is someone at the front door she says it must be the package. She sends me to the door since she is talking to our son. I open the door and there stands our son. Son lives in Calf.
The 2 of them have been planning this weekend since January. I never had a clue he was coming. The 2 of them did a great job hiding it. She even made sure she didn't tell anyone who might post something on Facebook.
