Newbie here, please help!!
I have a 49cc TNG Venice 2-stroke. I have cleaned the carb, replaced the sparkplug, checked for spark, removed all old gas and replaced with new, replaced the fuel lines, cleaned both fuel and air filters, and given it a new battery because it needed one. It still won't start easily at all. If I chock the heck out of it with the air filter box removed, then it will start. Once it is running, it runs great. It just doesn't want to start. I'd appreciate any advice that you have.
PS: I have a friend who recommends replacing the 4 engine seals.

On a two stroke if the engine seals are shot it won't start-ever. Your choke isn't functioning so the engine is running too lean to start. Manually choking it and it starting tells you the enrichening circuit in the carb isn't working. Either the passageway in the carb is clogged or the electric choke mechanism isn't working.
