What do you mean by sealed unit? Will the 2012 be sealed also?

Oh, I am sure the 2012 will have the Fuel Ratio Mixture Plugged and even the Carb Bowl screws cut off so you cannot take the Bowl off to say change jets or clean the damn thing if the jets or passage get clogged. But you can always get a aftermarket carb AFTER the warranty expires of course. Alleyoop

Wow, that's a bummer can't change the fuel mixture... Tornado has a different rear grear box than mine but I wonder if the deck mounting has that web system on it like Ger has on his or if it is like mine meaning CRACKS... I know it has the cut out for the 4 mounting bolts on the rear cut out, thats cool I had to cut mine out for easy access. There is a blue Tornado in Hudson I have seen it a couple of times but never got to talk to the guy. I looked up under one once and saw the gear box had been changed but really couldn't see to much as the owner was not around and didn't want someone to think I ws gonna still it. I think you will like the trike, just work all the rattles out of it and go

How would I be able to clean out the carb or adjust if the screws are cut off? I would not think the company would not let you be able to service the unit. If the carb is bad what will they do send a new one?

So when is it getting delivered?? Or haven't you ordered it yet?
Did you read what I said you can get an aftermarket carb that has the screws available on the carb. If it runs bad in your area because of the temp and you complain they may replace it, BUT it will most likely be just like the one on there with the screws NOT accessable. Eventually you will need to buy an aftermarket carb THAT IS IF it doesn't run right with the one that it comes with. Alleyoop

Carb jetting could be an issue at certain altitudes but, I have yet to see it as a major problem for most. The problem with getting a new carb from IB is it will be jetted the same way and most likely sealed. The EPA has an issue with carbs and wants everything to be fuel injected, of course if this happens then the cost of the machines will increase. If you are handy with a drill, here is a link that shows how to remove the sealed screws and what tools you will need. scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=intake&action=display&thread=5571As far as deck cracking, I noticed on a 2012 150cc that I was prepping for a customer, that they have added foam between the fender and the mounting bracket. They have also used grommets with steel sleeves in the mounting holes. This will provide extra "padding" for vibration and the steel sleeves will prevent over tightening of the bolts causing cracking. I hope they do the same for the new 300s. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

Have your camera ready and take the carboard off before the delivery guy leaves to check for any shipping damage if all looks good no damage to the scoot then you can sign off.
Then take pictures of the scoot in the crate and as you go along putting it together and you can start a thread for your scoot. Alleyoop

The shipping company is working out a deal with Icebear to refund the shipping charge so that is coming off the price so I now can wait with a little comfort knowing that.

Does not make any sense whatsoever, the shipping company gets paid by IB to deliver the scoot to your house. They are not about to deliver the scoot for nothing, it costs them wear and tear on their truck, plus the drivers salary and gas. If they don't get paid no delivery very simple. Alleyoop

Thats what they told me Icebear contracted with them but do to the mess and sending it 4states from me after it was just two hours from me they want to make me happy. Said they would give Icebear the credit so they can credit me for the problem. I am paying for the shipping somewhere in the price of the bike. What a mess!!

I agree with Alley, refunding the shipping cost doesn't make sense. If they do more power to you.

Called the shipping company to make sure it will come in on Monday, They can't find it again!!! They now have theft protection working on it but for sure it will not be here Monday either. I cannot understand what kind of shipping company they are using. Already a week on the road from Ga. only had to go to Jacksonville. It would have been easier to ship a new one back out of Ga. warehouse. I need to check this out real good for damage or maybe even wait for a 2012 like Jim said. Are all the 300's getting a make over or just the magnum? Rudy

My understanding is all the 300s are undergoing a mod, the magnums are first.
