I found the plate light but no holes I guess I got to get the drill out.My rear axle does not have any oil only see a grease fitting on it. Saw a sticker and drain plug for tranny is there anything else other then the engine oil? Just engine and tranny nothing for CVT and grease the rear axle?

Yep, got that right oil in crankcase and tranny and if it has a grease nipple then grease nothing in the CVT.

you can not miss the gear box, it is were the two axles meet in the rear, I showed you the extra box I had. There is a drain plug and a fill cap on the top, or just pump 7 oz of gear oil into the breather on top, no more or grease everywere.
Normaly there is T section for the plate, black plastic/vinyl with two slots and you attach the plate there, mine I attached to the rear of the rack

Mike this rea axle does not look like yours. The reverse is in the engine. No linkage goes to rear axle. Man this trunk really sings got to do something with it. Also carb is all pluged no screws even on bowl, can I drill the mixture screw if needed? And what about the water bottle in by the gas tank is that a over fill or should I put some anti-freeze in it. It has nothing in it now

You must have a different rear than, can't help ya... I seen one and it had the same as mine and saw a newer Magnum that had a different rear gear box but but still a gear box that held gear oil. Just went to IB site and it shows my gear box on and shows the reverse shifter on top if it

Yes Jim said something about that thdey had awhile back done that, put the reverse in the main transmission, guess they just never put it on parts list. the one I saw looked round, the gear box did. Does your dealer not answer any questions for you? Look under the V section over th ande e headlights and check the coolant level, I always add to the filler cap and than a dash in the overfill

Jim had said some time ago, and I think Ger has it too were the reverse is in the main transmission. I know nothing about them.

HUMMMMMMM, It could be like mine then right next to the Starter motor on top of the Tranny with a bracket and a cable to move the arm which moves the shaft and gear inside left and right.

They moved reverse to the motor and changed the rear diff. It has a grease nipple now instead of gear oil.

I would ask the same question as Mike. Won't the dealer you bought from answer your questions? Ice Bear is starting to crack down on those dealers that do not provide after sale support.

I haven't asked to tell you the truth. I figured they changed the rear axle and went to the different reverse setup. The dealer I am dealt with is having health problems (very bad) and I really don't want to bother them at this time. The bike is pretty simple just a few things I needed to get answered and the no start got me. But with the help of you guys so far everything is working out. Just waiting for the paper work it's in the mail so should be on the road very soon. In the mean time just looking things over. I installed a tach already and want to do some light changes

Very Nice, I like the color, how does it ride have you put some miles on it.

Rides good have about 50 miles. Trunk makes noise waiting for damaged parts to be replaced. Been so hot down hear can't enjoy it. Have to ride in evening. Will put the windshield on when the new cowl comes in. Will send more pictures of axle when I take the rear deck off, also damaged. Had it up to 60 gps corrected to 57. How long to break in. I don't baby it just like the race cars.
