the bolt that screws into my gear oil fill hol on trans case is stripping any suggestions on how to fix issue or how to fix threading in case?

Check the size and go to standard size that is a little larger. Drill to that size and tap it.

Here's a redneck fix. It's the fill hole,no pressure, oil is supposed to be below threads in bottom of hole. Go to hardware store and get rubber plug, like a cork only made of rubber and stick it in there. Glue it if you want. First couple of miles will let you know how it's working out. Cheap right? Remember, drill and tap= shaveings that may fall inside=bad. Plenty of grease on tools helps a lot. The money you save can go toward the drill/tap if you ever want to do it right. Or get a tap for your thread size, carefully run it in there. Cleans it up a bit, maybe all you need.q
