Hey guys, so i had to pay a scooter mechanic to fix my scooter because just nothing was working. I got it back today, and now the electric starting won't work. I had to kickstart it to get it home and was wondering, if i have to keep kickstarting my scooter, is that bad for it? I called the mechanic and left him a message but if i can't get him to fix it soon I will have to keep kickstarting it. So is it bad to keep kickstarting it? I'm really frustrated because the whole repair costed a lot of money and he said he went over everything and it was running like new now .

The kickstarter on the scoots are not meant to be used all the time. They are there for emergency use in case your battery goes dead or the electric start goes south for some reason.
When you picked it up from him DID you start it using the electirc start?

Yes Allyoop, he actually dropped it off at my house, started it with the electric starter and then rev'd it shut it off and left. I took it for a spin it worked, i went to pick up gas, turned it back on with the electric starter, then took it to get new headphones. When i tried started it this time i pushed in the electric starter and nothing. it wouldn't even try. it was like i didn't push it in at all. .

And the battery is still charged or gone empty?

Are you sure you did not by accident hit the KILLSWITCH to off. Also some have a killswitch on the SIDESTAND make sure that is up. Do the STOPS light come on when you squeeze the brakes (try the other brake as well).

Do not use the kickstarter full time. I sold Mad Collie a 50cc Lance with a shot battery and he used it a bunch of times until the variator cover shattered and the kickstarter practically ripped out. Sadly the material is not up to the stress.

Nope I checked everything, and the kill switch in the correct position.
And the battery is fine, the break lights work fine.

So you squeeze the brakes and do you hear maybe a CLICKING? Also you can try and jump the SOLENOID TERMINALS and see if it spins your starter. If you have a VOLT METER You could check if when you press the start button Juice is being sent to the SOLENOID.
Check the connections going to the SOLENOID and Starter.

It's not best to use the kick start as shown in this "Educational Video".

You should not start scooter every time through kick. Kick starter is just for emergency otherwise your scooter battery can goes dead. You should find a mechanic and get fixed it.

That makes no sense at all, because i can kickstart the engine without a battery

Hi can anyone help me with this I'm looking for 2 brake switch cables for a neco abruzzi 125cc (2016) any help would really be appreciated many thanks Rob
