We've had this huge influx of hummingbirds in the past couple of days. Here's a short video of them swarming the feeder. The biggest bunch of them is at the end of the video. The bird you will hear screaming is my jealous parrot Cleo:

They were late getting here this year, but when they came there were a lot. I have 2 feeders I fill with 50% sugar ad the rest water. there was almost constantly that many all them weeks it was so hot. I used 2 cups of sugar a day in them two feeders. Now there are few around and am thinking the most of them left/

Hey - your feeder's just like ours. I guess the little gus are going to migrate soon. We've seen a max of 5 at one time but usually it's 3 and they chase each other off.

You'd think so, those things are fearlless! When I fill the feeder they're buzzing around almost landing on me. They come up and stare right in my face until I get the feeder done and then they attack it. They chase each other through the trees at incredible speeds and come up and look at us through the windows. We had one get into some grease and couldn't fly. We washed him off with Dawn several times and he dried out on my shoulder. He stayed there for about a half hour buzzing his wings and hanging on to my shirt. Then suddenly he flew off like a rocket. It was really something, I'll never forget the experience. Rich
