I have a really loud rattle coming from my rear brakes at speeds over 35mph. I have located what is making the noise, The rear caliper. for some reason it is very loose and rattling.
my brakes are disc front and back. 2 pistons.
1) my first question is there an adjustment I can make on these calipers? 2) I have looked everywhere and I can only find front calipers for this scooter. they are definitely different from one another. is there an online vendor that sells the rear caliper?

Is the caliper loose..tighten it...if it isthe brake pad you may have a warped rotor...seen stones get up in there also

i checked the calipers and they are definitely tight. it needs new pads soon but I wouldn't think needing new pads would cause the rattle?

Hydraulic brakes are self adjusting, low pads wouldn't do this. The caliper floats on those two bolts that you checked. If the rubber boots over the bolts are toast the caliper will rattle around on them. There's a clip inside the caliper, it needs to be checked. The pucks can be removed but it's a pain getting them back together and I don't see how they would cause this. You may want to read this over.
