FANTASTIC!! Now which NEEDLE corrected the major problem was it Thinner or Thicker from the OLD CARB. The dropping of RPMS is (1). It is Idleing to Low or (2). Minor adjustment to the Fuel Ratio Mixture screw Try a Little Leaner clockwise. Alleyoop

The needle that made it better is thinner. So i forgot to mention that it does still need to have its throttle held for a little while before it will idle on its own as well as its idles dropping when i rev it before returning to normal.

But now with the Needle switched over it runs good through the mid-range and top end CORRECT?
So now it is like I said your IDLE is to LOW, if so bring the IDLE UP a little that will expose a little more of the tiny holes by the butterfly as well as a little more air. That is just like holding the throttle a little open sameo sameo.
That is why I always say a Tach is very important in tuning whether its your carb and or CVT. Alleyoop

Ok alleyoop i made the mixture a little leaner and upped the idle speed and it starts fine, except when i rev the throttle twice the rpms go wayy down before going back to normal still. Also if i am cruising at 30 MPH and come to a stop at a stop sign the rpms are really low when the scooter finally comes to a stop, and then they pick back up to normal after a short while. Any new ideas?

WOW!! Can you do a VIDEO of it Idleing and then you giving the throttle a good twist and letting the throttle go. I want to hear and see how the motor revs up and comes back down. Alleyoop

Tomorrow after i get out of school i will certainly do that for you. I got the filter oil for my uni filter and I took it off the carb and cleaned it and am letting it dry overnight. In the morning I will apply the oil to it and re adjust the air fuel ratio screw and idle screw for whatever changes the newly added filter oil bring. After i get out of class i will make sure to get video so you can hopefully be able to tell what is going on. Who knows maybe the new oil on the filter will fix it

Maybe it will with oil on the filter it will restrict some air and more fuel will be sucked in. Alleyoop

Ok alleyoop with the filter newly oiled it is having problem starting without the need to pull the throttle at all. I even upped the idle speed screw and it didnt help unless i upped the idle so high that it would make my scooter really wanna try to move. The engines rpms still get really low after i rev the engine twice but not quite to the same extent but it is still there.

Bummer, Now the problem is you do not have enough air. Did you just spray some oil on it and ring it out It should not be soaked with oil. To much oil will restrict to much air might as well not have a UNI on it. Did you adjust the Fuel Ratio to get the HIGHEST IDLE AFTER it is WARM? Alleyoop

With K&N filter oil they say to put on just enough to cause the filter to start looking pink. Just barely dusting it with the pink oil. I have a can of K&N I got 8 or 9 years ago when I visited J P motors and the cycle museum in anamosa Iowa and now am using it on all 3 scooters and the car besides. It does not take much and it spreads out.

Yea i put a lot on it. Should i probably clean it and then re apply just a little oil? Cause yes the uni is faded, but i did ring it out to make sure and no oil came dripping off. I did set the air fuel so the idle was the highest while warm also.
