Who ever owned this before me put a Mr Gasket Fuel Pump electric into the bike for four cycliner and six cylinder engines. I dont even see a fuel filter. Should I add my fuel filter to the Mr Gasket electric Fuel pump and if so which side? I am posting a pic  |

Add the Fuel Filter WHEREVER it is easy for you to look at and change if needed.

I guess I will just wait until the fuel pump dies so I can buy a fuel pump and fuel filter combo like the one above already in it...

According to someone on the forum this is what the stock for the bike should look like "this one I believe works also have on my 250 a 257 linhie www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/mikunifuelpump1.phpbut double check" Looks like I got a electric fuel pump plus a fuel filter combo and didnt have to pay anything score! |

Ridecheap, I have a 2007 jcl MP250 with the Linhai 257 engine and 4 years ago I installeded the same exact pump. Still there and working today. The filter is the gold part you see. you can just get a new one and unscrew the old and screw the new one back on. I also installed a fuel petcock at the tank and then a see thru filter between the petcock and pump so I can tell when to change. In other words I am double filtered which saves me from changing the one on the pump. I have never had a fuel issue of any kind since then. I bought my pump from Advanced auto parts.
