Lacrosseguy, It is just supposed to spark between the gap that is all like in the Videos I put up. But I could not see it sparking. But if you do see sparking then that is good. But you do need a new INTAKE MANIFOLD on that scoot, the tapeing tells me the INTAKE MANIFOLD is cracked and leaking not good you also need a new BENDIX. This is your Bendix:

Okay i bought a new spark plug and rubber cemented my intake then ttaped it. I also got the feeler gauges and adjusted my valves to .004 . I believe my starter bendix is shot because it's not engaging at all but once , and my engine started to crank. I'm going to get a new bendix soon and come back with those results

Fantastic Lacrosseguy, Hopefully if nothing else is wrong we can finally get this sucker to start and run.
I noticed on the Video that on the MUffler side you can see the Flywheel Fan turning it is that white thing with fins. I do hope there is a Cover on that. Can you take a picture of that side for us. REASON there has to be a cover is this, when that fan turns that is WHAT COOLS the motor as well as the OIL in the crankcase. Now with the cover on it the motor well overheat and can sieze on you. Just telling you so you do not blow your motor up. Alleyoop

Great, I just didn't want you to burn up th motor becasue without that shroud the motors get really hot fast. Alleyoop

FIRST--WHAT DID YOU FIX or put on or do. What is this Millsc asked if its with the new BENDIX and you response I THINK SO??
Time to check compression It doesn't sound good I have to tell you. Take the plug out and stick your finger in the hole and hold it nice and snuge and hold the throttle wide open and crank it. It should have enough compression to blow your finger off the hole. Or you can take the CVT cover off and grab the Variator with your hand(FRONT PULLEY) and turn it COUNTER CLOCKWISE to your left. If it has compression it will be harder to turn it when the PISTON gets to top dead center and it will require a little more strength to get it past TOP DEAD CENTER. Alleyoop If you can rotate it fairly easy with no real pressure to turn it NOT GOOD,
