Its all about quality and long miles in the end. It depends on how much you want to work on your scooter going forward also IMHO>

I've been seeing some good deals on Craig's List lately. There is a Silver Wing near Macon, GA for $1500 in rough shape and Reflexes can often be found cheap.

Yea but it could get expensive really fast, the ECU alone runs $1,000.00 installed. And forget if something goes in the CVT, it is not like the CVTs on our cheap scoots. The instrument panel forget about it(HAHA). Alleyoop

Small scooters are different but the over 250 ones are really not very economical compared to a motor cycle. I just can't imagine why some one would spend $10k on some of the high end "scooters".

I hear what you are saying. I pretty much lucked into a cheap Helix. I was looking at various, old-school standard, motorcycles. I like the ease of scooter riding and some of the built-in storage capabilities. I also like a manual shift car, but a twist-n-go two-wheeler. That being said, I'll take an Aprilia Mana 850GT or a Honda NC700X.
