Thought I would share a city scape picture of Madison WI. Madison is famous for Scott Walker the union bill and its the capital of WI.

Great pics Ridecheap, what kind of a camera do you use? That red CVT cover on the black body really looks cool on an already eye catching scooter. Did your scoot come like that or did you paint it? I've been to Madison several times when I lived up north in my home town of Toledo. I thought T-town was cold in the winter but compared to Madison it's positively balmy.

Bashan, your home town is Toledo. My home town is Tiffin, about 45 miles south and east of Toledo. After I grew up and spent some time in the Army I realized there were better climates than that of northern Ohio. My favorite time in Ohio for me has been late August, September, and part of October. The rest of the year is divided between freezing your butt off, windy weather, hot and humid with a few tornado's to keep you excited. .

I am using a Nikon cool pixs camera. I spray painted it with VHT caliper paint. I also spray painted the variator fan the same color.

My home town is Tiffin, about 45 miles south and east of Toledo. I've been there many times. I made a living as a musician for many years and we would often get gigs in Tiffin.
After I grew up and spent some time in the Army I realized there were better climates than that of northern Ohio. Yep, it's colder than a witches beanbag up there. I got really sick of heating my key up with a lighter so I could get the car door open.

Club 224 mean anything to you? One of your group from Sycamore OH? Maybe we met many years back. But maybe you were in a special group like private parties or polka style. .

We played all styles of music during our four hour gigs. We'd usually start slow and by the end of the evening when everybody was oiled up we'd play seriously loud rock. It was a hoot watching 70 year olds getting with it among the kids. I believe one of the guys was from Sycamore but it's been a long time ago. I don't remember club 224 but I think we played at an American Legion hall there.
We mainly played at those huge wedding receptions that were common around Toledo. Have you ever been to one of those? They usually got pretty wild. We also played bars once in a while. They'd book us for a month for three or four nights a week. It was nice because you had a steady gig at the same spot so you did't have to lug your equipment around.
I got a call once from this weird guy that wanted to book us for a couple months at his bar in downtown Toledo. We took the gig and when we got there the bar looked pretty seedy. As long as the money was green who cares. The first night I was surprised at how many women were there. They were all dressed to the nines with provocative outfits.
I noticed while playing that guys would start filtering in around ten, talk to some of the girls, and then disappear with a woman into the back of the club. I was also surprised that the bar never got crowded or rowdy. Later, I noticed there were huge bouncers at the door that only let certain guys in and only a few at a time.
Towards the end of the first week while we were on our second set the cops came flying through the door waving their guns. They packed up most of the girls and some of the guys and took them downtown. Bonehead me, it didn't sink in that first week the club was a front for hookers!
The cops questioned us at the bar and I thought we might have to follow the hookers downtown. I remember the head cop said to me, "you're either the best actor in the world or you were clueless about what was going on here because you can't get that confused look off your face." I felt like an idiot and told the guys no more freaking bars! We didn't get paid for that last night either.

Thanks Bashan. Probably never met as you are unfamiliar with Club 224 and I am not familiar with the Legion. But I was aware that lots of folks did go there.
Interesting story of yours about the bar in Toledo. .
