2008 Jonway, 330miles.
What should my scooter be idling @? Right now mine is at 1.5k once it's warmed up. Is that too high, or too low? Doing a valve adjustment/oil change and gear oil change today as well. I hear a faint knocking somewhere too, hoping these steps resolve the issues. As always, thanks in advance.

All the motors run differently and some if the idle it to low once they get hot they will want to die when you ride and come to a stop. What I do is adjust it to where it Idles the smoothest but under 2000 rpms and the Rear Wheel Not Spinning. Most of the 250s like to idle around 1800 or so little higher than a 150. Alleyoop

I have a Tiny Tach on my CN250 so I'm certain that it's correct:
The engine idles at 1.5K. Anything higher and it starts to creep forward.

That is why center stand and adjust till the wheel starts turning then back off till the wheel stops turning is important. Far better to have a setting that works and not some specific number that may not work. .

Thanks for the help everyone. I've done as everyone requested. I turned the idle up a tad till the wheel barely started moving then backed it down some. It's at the point where it almost wants to start spinning but doesn't. Tach is at 1.7ish.

Great!! that is what you want, after the motor gets nice and hot and you are riding and you come to a stop you should be able to let go of the brake and it should not want to take off on you. If it does lower the IDLE more just a tad, 100 rpms up or down means a lot. Alleyoop
