When I left Il. I think my goldwing plate was $80. I just caught a article in an Il. paper that said the stickers for cars was going up to $101. The cars and motorcycles when I lived there were the same so If I still lived there I would have a $404 bill coming this spring.

My car and 3 scooters now run less than $50 here in Ar. (1 scooter is free as it is a antique, you pay once and good for life)

Seems there are many benefits to live in "the land of rednecks". Illinois and their professional politicians sure have taken their toll on the average guy for sure. Ar. has a balanced budget law and still has a little trouble making ends meet but they don't spend what they don't have.

if you buy a new car/scoot you should make dealer pay notary fees,
i do
but
$38 / yr. for plate, registration and sticker
tax is 6% of selling price, so get seller/dealer to say as low as possible-lol
if you cant talk dealer into notary costs---i think $35 once
my insurance is $8/ month

i just renewed the tags on my fleet of vehicles and i cost me $120 for all four of them the scooter was $36

Here in Nevada as long as it is 50cc's or less you don't need tags, insurance, or plates. If you have a big bore kit or a 150 hiding in a scoot unmarked, as long as you don't go over 30 MPH. then you don't need any either.

Just renewed the tags on my Honda 110, and it cost me $99 here in Cal.

In NY First year is $25 for the plate, $17 for registration, and $6 for inspection. After that it is $23/yr. Insurance is $130/yr on my BMS Patriot 150/
