Today after many many weeks of mindless attempts to put together an engine using a ton of parts that I had purchased only to come to the realization that the kit that I purchased form Partsforscooters has a wider stud pattern than a "normal" I believe that spacing is 80.5. Here is the problem. When I had the piston shaved to accommodate the +4 crank, the machine shop messed up the case, now I need to find another case to finish the build. Any suggestions?

GTI, You get into more snit with that motor than anyone I ever heard. Maybe you should just send the motor to JIM at RAPIDREPAIR and have him build it for you. You would be riding with a hopped up motor by now and probably cost you less.
He knows shops that do all the special things boreing and shaving and they do it right.
Jim will tear the motor down and if special things have to be done he takes the motor parts needed and once it is done he puts it all back together and tests it out. Alleyoop

@just - I will I had the ability to quit this project. I know it is going to kill me but I can not fail. I will not fail and I will get this one right. I know that this has been an expensive session for me to learn but I have honestly enjoyed venturing out into the world of the GY6.
@alley - I am going to finish this one and get a Honda that I refuse to touch!!! I am going to ride it till the wheels fall off.

So take your time and whatever YOU ORDER make sure you are getting the right part to fit what you have. MEASURE and email whoever is selling what you need and ask if it will fit or the size you want the part you want is the same size etc... The worse thing is to order a part and it will not fit some will not take it back if put on and or will cost you to return it and the refund is less than what it cost you. But we will all attempt to help if we can so do not hesistate to ask for help, if you find a part or something you can ask us if it looks right or what not. Many times I have emailed the seller for someone to get some kind of poop and then post it back to the guy to let him see what the seller said. So so not hesistate to ask for help. Alleyoop
