Iam installing a 80cc big bore kit on my 2012 tao tao VIP 50cc GY6 and wanted to ask.. my stock engine has a EGR system on the valve head but my NEW BB kit does not have this system ..can I install my NEW kit on my scooter without this EGR system.. I can use my existing cover being that the EGR hole is solid alum in that area.. in other words can I just remove this EGR system all together I believe I can just wanted to make sure thanks ..

Thats a good question .. I have a good feeling you already know this ..spill it Alley lol.. does a EGR valve system improve a stock or even improve a BB kit .. I believe its for Cali pollution right I think it does NOT improve the engine performance...well ?

I removed my egr didn't improve performance, it ran the same, just another thing you don't have to worry about going bad.

I'm fairly sure on my Bronc rally we traced all the lines and for one reason or another nearly deleted the entire vacuum system all the remains, if I remember correctly all that remains is the pet cock and the carb, everything else was capped off.
I doubt it made any difference, then notable performance gain for me was porting and deburring the head and headER among other tweaks.

thats what I also did.. Iam a toolmaker by trade 27 years.. I also polished the top of piston to prevent carbon from build up being the surface was rough cast alum and deburred everything I seen that had sharp corners..I believe this will help too
