After I read this I went and looked at the radar. We got lucky and the snow stayed south of here. I have enough image as it is. I just wish it would warm up. Long range forecast says highs of 20s and 30s for the next week.

It has been abnormally warm here in the south this year. We've had thunderstorms and tonado warnings in both January and February. I have ridden to work all winter so far with the coldest ride being at 27 degrees in the morning. The only reason I haven't ridden this year is due to rain and occaisionally a little snow. I am perfectly comfortable down to 27 with my ski clothes and heated gloves and look forward to going even colder. However, if the highs were 20 to 30 like KZ said, I think I'd have to hang it up for a while.

It's not just the cold here. They plow and salt the roads constantly and most of the cars rust heavily. The roads are literally white from the dusty layer of salt and it flies like dust when it dries. I won't subject my bikes to it since it nestles in nooks and crannies and starts to eat equipment alive when it gets damp. Once we get a little rain it washes off. Until then all my bikes sit safely in the garage. Hopefully warm weather is coming.
