I put this suggestion in all the forums I belong to. I suggest that members put their location in their profiles. The purpose is two-fold:
1. You could identify possible folks in your area to ride with.
2. You could possibly get some hands on help with your scooter if needed.
In my case, I'm a retired mechanic who loves to putter. I have a heated garage and plenty of tools. I would be glad to help any Do-It-Yourselfers out there in my area with maintenance or basic mods.

I've suggested that many times Mr. Mike but nobody listens to me around here.
Not only does it allow members in the same area to help each other but it helps out on the tech boards when you know what conditions the sick scooter is running in. Maybe they'll listen to you, they just ignore me.... Do I look fat?......I feel fat......I need some chocolate.....

Too bad the registrations don't mandate local. I know if proboards was using some of the newer forum softaware based on linux you can specify just about any conditions and how you want it to appear.

Hmmm. Syracuse. My wife was born there, in the hospital. I sold a scooter to somebody on the East side after buying it the year before from somebody off Salina Street.
