In remembering the recent forum on conventional vs synthetic oil use, I found an interesting item. I recently bought a new Troy-Built snowblower and it has a LCT engine produced in China. They recommend synthetic 0-30w oil. Must be China is starting to build better engines, or I am having a brain relapse. I am going to switch to synthetic this spring on my scooter. At 800 miles, it is broken in enough for the transition

I just bought a new (2012) Kymco People GTI300. On page 29 of the owners manual it states "Use a full synthetic quality engine oil to ensure longer service life of your scooter". I will change the oil myself at 100 miles and use conventional, but when the dealer does the 600 mile service, I will changeover to full synthetic.
