I really don't fault the Chinese factories. They are willing to make quality or shiat...whatever their customers are willing to pay. I fault the importers here in the US. From my understanding, the China factories do not warranty their scooters. It is the importers here in the states that offers the warranty. The better one lets say, add two hundred bucks to the price of the scooter and accrue that money for future warranty repairs. It's strictly an actuarial equation.
When Wildfire was at their peak, they offered a two year parts warranty on the engine...and 90 days on everything else. I remember the president of Wildfire telling me," Why not? we have less of 1/2 of 1% failure rate on the engines".
I blame the importers/distributors for being greedy. A lot of them are quick-buck artists. Thankfully most of them have slinked away. But unfortunately.... there are a few still around. Oh...BTW... SUNL has resurfaced as Massimo.

Oh Luke, look at this. Talk about cheap Chinese scooters breaking down. Steve Williams (Scooter in the Sticks Blog) has a fairly recent vintage Vespa 250 (2008 or newer). At the end of last season his spark plug cap broke and the scooter has been idle all winter. Steve finally fixed that after using his daughter's Vino 125 all winter and just made this entry.
Got the Vespa running this afternoon and had to go for a ride. That was sweet and in the weather I love.
The sad news -- I think the fuel pump died miles from home. Tomorrow the GTS gets trucked to Kissell Motorsports in State College, PA. I've had enough -- I just want to ride.
Even the best scooters have niggling difficulties that leave you stranded.

Got that right, parts is parts and anything mechanical and or electrical will break down sooner or later. You just hope after paying 4x for something that it will last longer without a breakdown because if it does break down the cost to repair and or fix will also be 4x a hit on your wallet. Alleyoop

As for the REVERSE TRIKES, Sunny is now trying another type of Reverse Trike seeing the word is out on the other ones needing a redesign of the front end. Those will dry up unless a redesign of the front is made. They will not commit to getting the problems fixed so they go for another type to make the fast buck and if problems arise with them they to will dry up. Alleyoop

Alleyoop Totally agree , My beef is just with Sunny. Sunny gives the chinese scooter world a bad name and that's sad.

I'll say it again. My interaction with sunny has been a 10 out of 10. I have a reverse trike built in dec2012 and it was shipped- assembled. Free. I did my own PDI, which took about 15 hours and i replaced the cheap fuse, the spark plug, taped all electrical connections and checked the front end alignment which was delivered 1/4" toed in which i believe is acceptable. I set the valves at .004 as you guys suggested, and changed the motor and gear oil, and i did all the tightening and other stuff you guys suggested on the PDI page and extensively on this forum. i filled the tires to proper inflation and then added 5oz. In the front and 6 oz. in the rear with Ride On and the majority of the wobble, is essentially gone. My guess is that in a few more days the very minimal remaining wobble will be all gone. I installed a tach and a 12 volt outlet. I had a great day riding my scoot for about 3 hours yesterday. I bought the Sunny 150TKB model that replaced the TKA models that you can still buy, so MAYBE this IS Sunny's new direction in the reverse trike. I'm not a motorcycle guy, so i'm having a blast on my scooter, i have approx 360 km on it and top speed hovers around 55 mph. I have a dual reading speedo but the distance is in kms.
