Just stumbled on this last night. www.alibaba.com/product-gs/654619020/300cc_Trike_300cc_Three_Wheel_Scooter.htmlI have a Sunny Roadrunner MC_D300TKB reverse trike and this thing has the same front wheels, exhaust, and transmission as mine. Sunny is updating their online showroom with new models and with all the issues with the current RT's it makes me wonder if this is their new direction. Sure looks like a Piaggio MP3 clone to me! Anybody know anything more about this thing or if I'm right? Lol! Just took the time to read the company profile from the above mentioned link and got my answer-"Our Company owns five trademarks given by the nation, including Xlent, Beyond, Super, Junda, and Sunny. " Well there you have it folks, looks like there's a new clone in town!

I think im one of the lucky ones, so far. Got mine from scooterdepot. It came assembled, which i think is the reason im one of the lucky ones. Im still breaking it in and so far so good. I felt a wobble in the front end at around 45mph during a very brief speed increase, due to break in period. I checked the boards and checked the toe in and alinement and all was spot on. I read to increase shocks to stiffest position, and filled all tires equally with air and wobble went away. Every time i called i got a polite person and was put on hold for a short period of time, maybe 20% of the times i called. I believe the initial PDI done right is essential. I also believe that the more expensive scooters, mine was $2,450 delivered get a little more respect from the people at scooterdepot then those people who are bitchen about why their $300 scooter isnt perfect. There is good quality and cheap quality parts on the scoot, but if you check around you will see that to change the fluids immediately, buy better quality fuel and vacuum lines and replace the cheap spark plugs and fuel filter, and a few other things, you will be way ahead of the game.i like the ride, i like the acceleration, and the breaking is great. Ive had medium sized motorcycles and a 50 cc Puch moped, which i loved, and i can see a good long relationship with this trike. The biggeat talk i hear about chinese scoots is maintenence. Gotta change fluids very often, and check tightness and use loctight on all essential bolts and keep an eye on the valve clearances. There is alot of negative talk about scooterdepot on the internet, but i looked them up and saw they did $1,800,000 in sales last year which is a s#it load of cheap scooters. Percentage wize, i think that is a small amount of complaints. I worked in a bicycle shop for several years, and if you bought a quality bike right out of the box, assembled what parts were not on the bike and tried to ride it, you were screwed. They all needed proper set up. I can take a wAlmart bike and assemble it to work just fine. An average joe can buy a $1000.00 bike in the box, put the seat and handlebars and front wheel on, and he will have nothing but problems. right now scooterdepot and their DF150TKB are running 100% in my nook and i would reccomend both.

Great to hear your having fun and enjoying the outdoors Mrpalmetto. I know it makes me smile after I have just come back from a nice ride out in the fresh air. I always give my trike some quick shine on the body and armor all the black and tires, clean the windshield and off I go. Have fun and ride safe Alleyoop

Talk about a mistake.....
Last year I ordered a reverse trike from Sunny Powersports(DF150TKB) . Okay, I admit it, I was taken in by the novelty. Sure was a show stopper. Everybody ooh and awwed over it. But nobody bought it ! Finally sold it last fall. Of course it's now back in the shop...and has been here for 5 weeks!!! It has a defective micro switch that controls the cdi when it is in the locked position. I have called numerous times to Sunny/ScooterDepot...bitched, moaned and complained. Still can't get them to send me the switch. I've even offered to pay for it! I keep getting shuttled off to various people and departments. Each one promises me they'll send it right out. I mean these people could "eff-up a two car funeral". And I'm a dealer. I can only imagine what a retail customer must go through.

I'm sorry to say this but I am that retail customer that you are talking about cookees, I even PAID extra for the so called new and improved motor mount and got back the same old ragged kind that was in it before but with un installed bearings that were way to big for the mount,I was told (they) yes they admitted sending the wrong part. After promising to get me the right part out that I paid for + shipping , I've been going through the same sham and run around as cookees is and my bike is probably the top of the line in their fleet and price $5,900.00 . The short of it all is that I've got a high priced piece of junk that has less than 1000 miles and a company that tries to cover up their mistakes rather than fix them. I just don't see them as any thing other than a gimmick selling ,get rich and get out company that cares nothing about their public image. Yes, It would take them doing right to me to EVER get my respect again. That my friends just might be why many, many people think that CHINESE bikes are junk. Kind reminds me of the YUGO,throw away junk. I know it's not all scooter companies doing like this, but Sunny sure isn't helping their own image. Oh and yes I paid a reputable dealer to do a PDI , but who could tell that a brand new chasis part would go out under 1000 miles or just several months of driving, with the biggest part that break in driving.?? lolololo Enjoy your Sunny while it lasts and be safe.

Yes it is a shame that those trikes have the problems they have. They would be really nice but if they do not fix the problems they will not be around very long. Ice Bear dropped them within 6 months or so of selling them due to complaints and problems with them. Alleyoop

Update to the story...
Still have not received the micro-switch from Sunny/ScooterDepot.
On the plus side, the customer just bought a brand new Can-Am Spyder. $17000 worth of sweetness.
Problem is he would like us to by-pass the micro switch.
This would allow the bike to potentially be ridden in the locked position. We could always remove the locking mechanism, but my partner has serious reservations that it would leave us extremely vulnerable to litigation should the customer have even an unrelated accident.
