My bike is 3 months old and voltage gauge reads 9 tops and drops to 6 or 7 at idle. Scoot runs and starts fine. Is there a problem comming? I've never seen a 12 volt reading. I have a GY6 150cc 157QMJ engine with 1200km. Reverse trike

I'll say it again. My interaction with sunny has been a 10 out of 10. I have a reverse trike built in dec2012 and it was shipped- assembled. Free. I did my own PDI, which took about 15 hours and i replaced the cheap fuse, the spark plug, taped all electrical connections and checked the front end alignment which was delivered 1/4" toed in which i believe is acceptable. I set the valves at .004 as you guys suggested, and changed the motor and gear oil, and i did all the tightening and other stuff you guys suggested on the PDI page and extensively on this forum. i filled the tires to proper inflation and then added 5oz. In the front and 6 oz. in the rear with Ride On and the majority of the wobble, is essentially gone. My guess is that in a few more days the very minimal remaining wobble will be all gone. I installed a tach and a 12 volt outlet. I had a great day riding my scoot for about 3 hours yesterday. I bought the Sunny 150TKB model that replaced the TKA models that you can still buy, so MAYBE this IS Sunny's new direction in the reverse trike. I'm not a motorcycle guy, so i'm having a blast on my scooter, i have approx 360 km on it and top speed hovers around 55 mph. I have a dual reading speedo but the distance is in kms.

It is a GY6 motor. Thank s for all your replys. They are appreciated and respected. My goal is to ride 50 MPH without being WOT all the time. As i noted eariler i want to maintain longevity and not get into what i stated above. I thought, by reading all these post, that sliders could get me there without losing longevity, spending a bunch or time and money, and acheive my goal.i also appreciate the fact that i might not be able to get what i want. I enjoy this forum and being a member. Any ideas to reach my goals, maintaining my parameters, would be great and appreciated. Ride on!

I can appreciate that.......but if you are telling me that the difference is going to be that subtle, why bother going thru all that time and energy. I've ridden 200 miles and i would say that i should notice a change, even a subtle one through feel, sound, and by RPM on the tach. I've been riding all different types of vehicles for 43 years, surly i would notice a difference...would'nt I?

Scooter post #1
Hello all. I'm a newbee but I've been reading posts for over a week and learned a heck of alot. I just purchased a Dongfang (Sunny) MC_D150TKB from scooter depot. It came pre assembled and all i had to do was put the mirrors and trunk on. I'm still doing my own PDI after reading all the hours of information i gathered on this site. As far as scooter depot goes they did everything they said, when they said they would and the bike came to me in PERFECT shape. Nothing broken nothing scratched. I know there are plenty of horror stories about scooter depot but i would have to give them a 10 out of 10. I was never put on hold for more then 5 min and not more then 1 or 2 times. After i got the scoot i called and asked for the bill of sale and other paperwork and it came a few days later on the day she said it would. I guess i can consider myself one of the lucky ones, from what i' ve read, but i have nothing to compair it to. The total interaction was perfect. Because its the nature of the beast, fiddling with your scooter, i see no reason that i would need to interact with scooter depot in the future so, i can't bad mouth them, don' t want to, and hope this type of interaction continues with others who deal with scooter depot. I love my scoot. Dual front wheels, tilts, rides very good except for that front end wobble that still needs to be dialed out, but besides that, you get what you pay for, and I'm happy.
Now, i hate to ask this but I'm gonna. After all the mods that can be done to increase performance, the one thing i am thinking/wanting to do is replace rollers for sliders. From what I've gathered on this forum, i MIGHT get a little more top end, WITHOUT shortening the life of the engine. I don't want air filters and carb jets, and exhaust pipes,or new bigger engine top end. MAYBE a performance CDI if i can put sliders in and add the CDI and get a little more performance. I used to have a 50cc Puch moped many years ago and i could wrench on that all day so i have more than adequate mechanic skills. So what to you all think. Should i replace the rollers for sliders? There are alot of smart scooter people on this forum and i respect your knowledge. Even after all the enjoyable hours of reading this forum, i can't logically answer my own question and feel good about it. Please help.

Cookie...u r absolutely right. Remember i started the post telling you that I'm an idiot. My point i was trying to make is that if the situation was exactly like mine, it should be an easy fix for someone with your talent and experience. And because i was able to deduce and resolve the seemingly same situation, then maybe my post could get that situation out of your hair.
The last thing i want to do is disrespect anyone. As i started my post with that premise. I can do a lot of things and a lot of things well, but wrenching on engines is not one of them. My intent was to offer a solution to a problem, that if it was similar to mine, was an easy fix.
I apologize if i spoke out of line , but again, i meant no disrespect and i hope i can count on you in the future, to access your knowledge, cause i know my day is coming and ill need some advice from a person of your knowledge. I hope this clears things straight with us and as a former yankee, next time I'm in steel town i'll surely buy you a beer....mrpalmetto

New2sootn I had that problem for about 3 minutes till i wiggled the front end and the pin/bar that goes thru the hole to lock itself, freed itself, do to friction i guess.out popped the pin and out popped the ram that pushes into the two feeler type points on the switch, and bingo no more sweet music. I know you can dismantle that switch in many ways. Wrap in in wire so the feelers are always flush against the switch. Take it off and twist the wires together, tape the feelers to the switch, you get the idea.
The locking pin got stuck. No big deal. It will have no affect on the ridding situation except IF you lock the bike upright, you wont get the idiot buzzing sound to let you know its in the locked position. Like the old time seat belt buzzers we used to throw out the car when we first got them. Thats the only purpose of that switch. Warning only. No other effects.
No offense, but I'm and idiot and i figured the feeler gauge switch in about 5 minutes and probably could rebuild/repair it in ten. Cookie if your a dealer i would have expected more than the comments you wrote, no disrespect, but that switch was not nasa designed. You should be long gone from that situation.
