I'm making up a tool kit for my new ride and I can't find what size socket I need for the clutch bell and variator nut. It's the same size nut on both and its a m12x1.25. I read a discussion a few days ago on this same nut. I think it was on here but not sure. My question is what size socket do I need? is it a 19mm?

The way I go since I already have a couple sets of metric when I find just one more I don't have instead of getting one more bigger set I take a trip to the pawn shop and buy a single socket for a couple bucks. Size wise best to take apart and measure to be sure.

Geez Zug, they're all different. My CF Fashion has a 22mm variator and 17mm clutch:
If I remember right you snagged a Piaggio BV200? Good grief man, that doesn't come with an embossed socket set?!

Actually I snagged a BV 250 I have plenty of sockets. The question was if the m12x1.25 nut uses a 19mm socket. There was a thread earlier in the week that mentioned it so I thought someone would chime in with the answer. I did manage to find the answer from a parts diagram on the AR1 website. It's a 19mm. It supposed to be warm and sunny this weekend so I'll give it a better PDi and see if I can put more miles on it. Zug
