no, mine needed some cleaning ,it sat for almost one year in the backyard, the stupet previous owner put mixture of unleaded and regular or even diesel on it, he was very excited to show me that it was running,he grabbed some gas tank in his barn storage, god knows what tank he grabbed, maybe its the gas that he puts on his tractor, shyet!!, yes it ran for a while then stalled because the fuel injector got clogged, after cleaning ,it's now up and running. i mean, it's not a part failure,it's a matter of thorough maintenance., in chinese scooter,it's always a part failure, because the materials used are low grade. and people are still patronizing them, people like, the vets..LOL,,,teasing you guys,,dont get mad.
btw, it has only 2,100 miles on the odo
wat da pak!!

Luke, it isn't the distance.......
yamaha usa does not stock all the parts they should for yamaha scooters and yet when a distributor gets a container of chinese scooters they come with a whole bunch of parts, .....every part on a scooter plus the big dealers get a few parts scooters to boot. All the yamaha dealers in this country have to order from the same distributor who does not carry all the parts and that includes the internet dealers too. The dealer I bought my 2007 from carries nothing at all for scooter parts and had I known that I would have bought a chinese 250 or 300 and never would have had all the problems. With my little chinese 150cc I can choose who to buy parts from, and decide if I need next day service or regular shipping. Try that with a morf part. It will be a week or more if USA warehouse has it in stock. I'll bet your closest yamaha dealer does not even have a air filter or oil filter in stock.

i am really wondering and puzzled, WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT CHINESE SCOOTERS? ? oh i know, maybe you like the cheap price? it's being colorful and shiny? or you simply just want to prove yourselves and everyone in this forum that you can fix and that you are mechanically inclined? you dont care about quality and safety. my goodness! cant believe you guys. ,, morphous is an almost perfect scooter, how could you not like it? think again! I like my Chinese scoot because: 1. There ain't NOT ONE of the US or Japanese mfgrs that make a trike without having to do a conversion. 2. I din't have to spend $25K - $32K to get a trike. Granted, I can't do 85mph down the road, but it get's me back on the road 3. I didn't have to buy a Yamaha, and then spend another $4K on a conversion kit to make it a trike. 4. With proper and normal Preventative Maintainence, this chinese trike should serve me wonderfully 5. Parts accessability; Well, I'll find that out when the time comes, and hopefully that won't be for a while 6. It's purdy 7. It's a chick magnet 8. I still got money left over for other things 9. It's got 3 wheels (which is what I need for now) 10. Did I mention it didn't cost $10K, $20K $30K? 11. And, Yes, I'm a VET, And my VA disability check helped pay for the thing. (Those that NEVER served their country will NEVER know what it feel's like)

Back step due there Luke.....Many of us are VETs and proud of it... I too my friend got a Chino Trike as I could not afford even a used Harley Trike and was falling and walking with a Walker. Did I have to work on it a lot, yuppers as it was one of the first Magnums sold in the USA. If I had not got it and forced myself to work on it and get out and so things and ride, I may not have gotten strong enough to go 2 wheels like I do now. I never dreamed I would be riding again... Now I am looking for a Silver Wing for some cross country riding... Were not trashing your Yamaha... We just, but a lot like it, think i is ugly and has a bigger than Magoo noise. I like Honda's but I do not bash Chino or Harley's or others.....

and people are still patronizing them, people like, the vets..LOL,,,teasing you guys,,dont get mad. Now, if you wanted to call me OLD, Disabled, unable to walk 'Normally', you might have a case, but to bring it to the VET territory, you done crossed over the line. I have people form my old forum www.thesabrehood.org tell me how amazed they are that after just 11 months after my accident, I'm back on a bike/trike/scooter. I, too, was falling a lot. (still do) I quit working on the cars, now, I'm back in the garage, laying on the floor,(which is kinda funny watching a one legged guy sit down, and get up to go get another tool) wrenching/maintaining/enjoying life. And, the 'don't get mad' part, ain't a get outa jail free card. I think you got some splaining to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said it before, I did 25 years active duty 69 - 94 words can not explain where i been and what i seen Alley has even more experience/war/horror stories than any of us here. So, back the F off and, like Alley said, rethink what you said.

VERY LAST WARNING LUKE You are tiring my patience and I know your sly remarks are pointed to me, but am not the only Veteran on here. With your remarks you are including every Veteran on here. The just teasing and don't get mad DOES NOT GET IT and does not make what you said meaningless. Alleyoop

sorry guys, i was just referring to alley, when i say "vet" but nothing about veterans as a whole because i know nothing about it.alley knows that i call him vet always...as a sign of respect promise,i will refrain from using that 3 letter word, i didn't know that it was so sacred here in the US. again, i apologize. i will never insult anybody and call them old because i have a dad too and he is 83yo, and fought war too with the japanese and spanish back in asia. so i have a soft spot in my heart with the veterans,my uncle who just died recently fought in WWII,he was telling me stories back when i was younger that he used to sleep together with the other dead japanese soldiers whom he killed and use them as pillows at night.
im just a funny, silly naughty guy....i'm having fun, bear with me...

Having served, being injured, or killed, for your country , is VERY sacred. Ask any Gulf War vet, or Vietnam Vet, or WWII vet The name VET, should be self explanatory. But, feel free to use the word "VET" but use it wisely, and with respect.

We did what we did back then cause that's what we were told to do. And how we were trained. We did our job. And we are the MEN we are today because of it. Be it Sit, Stand or Walk tall.

Does it really mater what you ride or what you can afford to ride?! The fact is, we ride.....if it has a motor there's a good chance its gonna have an issue. Like humans, they are not perfect. This thread was for a newbie sharing his bikes and the up grades he's doing, in his living room. Pissing over what's better, mine or yours is boring arse BS! Ride what you got and enjoy it! ?!

BTW, thank you to all the VETS on this forum. I'm thankful for the freedom we have and to the ones who protect it for us.

I had a conversation with Luke ☎ and he has promised to take it down a notch. He says he meant no harm and I think his caustic humor is misinterpreted quite a bit. He also said he did not mean any offense towards the brave men and women of the military.
I have a bit of a history with Luke ☎ and know him as a decent, if misunderstood, miscreant. I take him at his word that he meant no harm and that he will endeavor to not throw as much sand in the box. Luke ☎ is a part of this forum and as such we need to cut him a little slack just as we would for other members when warranted. He has said he's sorry, that means a lot.....let's try to move on. Okay okay....group hug!
