Had scoot out test driving it, went up chickaree hill to day, (over a mile) almost made it before scoot shut off, came home decided to start over with a/f adjustment. turned it all the way in, then out 2 1/2 turns, started scoot, not running well, turn 1/4 at a time, (leaner) it is set on 2 turns out. Went up chickaree and made it to the top without shutting off. I'm going to try this setting and go from there. may have to adjust a little more, don't know yet, but for now its running pretty good.

Hi alley, Scoot test drive yesterday was good, today going up a smaller hill, left off throttle and it boggs and shut off, did start again ran 30 seconds and shut off and won't start, I'm thinking fuel pump, what do you think. Each time it does this, the first crank it trys to start after that it won't

Alleyoop, I agree with you, Yea the other day when I took my carb off to adjust float, there wasn't much gas in it at all, with a fuel pump, how many liters should I get. I did notice this morning when I first started scoot my ezhuast was dark for awhile, then it was good.

If it was dark, it was rich and that is due to the ENRICHER feeding the extra fuel. Alleyoop

When I get home I will turn 1/4 turn leaner, I know it could bogg being too rich, that may be my problem, I just though (I only have the a/f 2 turns out? still too rich???

Best thing to do is put it on the center stand let it warm up and then adjust the fuel ratio screw to get the highest idle out of the Fuel Ratio Screw. Right now you do not know if it needs more fuel or less fuel. For all you know it could be running lean going up a hill that is a lot of load on the motor.
But if I was you since you adjusted the FLOAT it may not be filling up fast enough and it will run LEAN I would get the SINGLE PUMP that pumps out 14liter per hour that is the smallest one but that one pumps out more than the ones that the scoots come with. Alleyoop

With that dark exhaust it showing running rich, wouldn't I want too my it leaner? my fuel pump is a mikuni, but it still could be bad. If I put on center stand which way should I start first? Attachments:

Oh WOW!! you have one that pumps out quite a bit more, So I think the pump may be out of the question as being bad. It would then maybe be Valves or Carb Adjustment.
To adjust on the center stand START in either direction. 1/4 turns at a time and wait 10 seconds or so to allow the motor to catch up with the new setting.
If on the first 1/4 whichever way you go because we do not know if it needs more fuel or less the RPMS do not go up then go the other way. You want to go in the direction that when you do turn it the RPMS(IDLE) GO UP. Alleyoop
