Hi all, My chinese scooter has no spark. was on way home from work a few days ago and engine just died and ever since not started. i have changed the plug, coil and lead and plug cap but still no joy. i am a novice to this sort of thing and could really use the help. thanks

Check the reference section for trouble shooting guides: No spark diagnostics to check your output on the stator assy on your scoot. Run the diagnostics and report back with the results . willc. ;D

i have takin the two bullet connectors apart and checked with my multimeter and at the red/black its reading 76.4 vac and at the blue its .144 vac the kill switch isnt giving me a tone which makes me think that is working ok.

Try this link. Your voltages are good off of the stator. Check the engine ground to the frame. You'll see a cable running from the front of the engine to the frame, make sure it's not loose or corroded. Check all of the connections on the CDI and the coil. Check the Ohms on the coil as you see on the link.

Try this link. Your voltages are good off of the stator. Check the engine ground to the frame. You'll see a cable running from the front of the engine to the frame, make sure it's not loose or corroded. Check all of the connections on the CDI and the coil. Check the Ohms on the coil as you see on the link. i checked the ohms on the coil using my meter and the primary test showed at 00.2 and the second just stayed what it says the minute you flick it to ohms which is 100.0 but the 1 is flashing. i see a cable running from frame to near stator with metal loops at each end and the are screwed down. not to sure what the vac should be at the other connections at cdi

Use a jumper from the negative battery to the terminal of the coil that has green on it, then connect another jumper to the engine from the green connector.
