So, after spending 4 hours at the register getting our motorcycle permits, registering, titleing and getting insurance my GF and I went for our first ride yesterday! Now that we are up and running it's gonna be difficult trying to keep the trips local and short while we break them in, LOL

"....Honey....."  is that all about??? I recall the thread where he had his 2 bikes in the front room getting em ready, making mods, etc etc. Now he's done , got em registgered, and is riding with his girlfriend. Ain't nothing better than that. So what's your point Luke? |

I guess I ASSumed.
I read your first threads about working on the bike and didn't notice any reference to gender.
OK, I'll STFU now and go back into my hole, under the rock, in the dark, and go back to stuuupid.
And, No, I never said famales weren't good at mechanics.
Back in Denver, we had a girl in our group (a Honda shadow group Rocky Mountain Sabres), that was a bettter mech than most of us
(feel free to google rocky mountain sabres, the first 3 topics are us)

Thanks drifter. I've already replaced every vac and gas line on both bikes and they are all secured with quality hose clamps. I've already got a few comments from some other riders about green el wire halo mod I did to my headlight and the purple flourescent ground effects. I'll post some pics of them when I get some pics after it gets darker this evening.

what's your longest scooter trip with your GF so far? BTW keep an eye on your valve stem, the first thing you should do when you get a chinese scooter is to replace those valve stem with the quality ones, those chinese valve stems are junks, they pop out and leave you starnded in the middle of the fff road.. good luck honey and ride safe. dave ---hehehe  |

Luke gears up to open a door, but finds life is more friendly then he thinks
Very important, get a tire pump, and a tire plug kit.
my pump in only 6 inches long ( no Luke not a place for comments)
I got a dam spring post in my tire and patched it before all the air ran out.
get the patch kit with the thickest (not here either Luke) patch string to fill hole, let both sides of string hang out from hole, cut and ride.
I was freaked to get a flat and fix the dam thing on the side of the road, felt like real empowerment.
Also watch dark corners on the road where the sun don't shine
(no Luke) and does not dry the road, pollen and leaves can wreck your day.
