I am trying to put a new cvt belt on and i do not have an impact drill.....can i just use a torque wrench and if so whats the range of ft lbs to set it to??? so i can remove pulley and get the wire that wrapped around my clutch.

People do it but I would not recommend skipping the impact. You have to hold the variator and the fins break off way to easy. I bought a used air drive 1/2" at a pawn shop, probably 20 bucks. Harbor freight sells electric ones for a bit more. If you attempt it by muscle be very carefull that you don't break any thing. I just tighten about the same as it takes to get it off. I have a set of torque wrenchs but never used one for that because you have to hold the variator. If you search There are several designs for a tool to hold it and a strap wrench can be made to work but they cost almost as much as a torque wrench.

you can actually replace your cvt belt without having to remove the cvt or clutch. grab the secondary moving sheave with your two hands in such a way that the torque spring will be depressed and the sheaves will be wide open, creating a big slack on the belt . now you can stretch the belt out and force the new one in. this is what i do on my dio 1 before. here--->

thanks for the tips but i am going to have to atleast remove the clutch bell. the old belt wire wrapped around in there. and the kick start gears fell out of the case when i first opened it up.
