The other day, Ice Bear was doing some warehouse cleanup and found 3 sets of the hard to find rebuild kits for the early 150 trannys with reverse. Kits have everything shown except the case gasket. The only other thing you would need is the 6004 center shaft bearing that was not used in production models. (picture curtisy of Wildman) PM me if you need a set. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

Actually for the 50s and 150s you really do not need reverse they are easy to push I do not use my reverse at all. The reverse on these are not the best design especially on the 150s. The movement to get them into reverse or forward is only about 1/4-3/8 of an inch so any stretching of the cable will cause grinding and or jumping. I have mine locked in forward gear. Alleyoop

I have the same motor with the same reverse mechanism, my trike was one of the first to be sold in the US. It was made in 2008 and I bought it in March of 2009. alleyoop

Hey Jim, You better get on ICE BEAR their 300cc ZODIACs are not being put together well at all. Plus it appears the tranny has problems right off the bat. Word gets around and as you know an pretty soon ICE BEAR will be known as products not ready for prime time.
And here I was thinking of getting me a 300cc,but the first thing that I question is the MPH for a 300cc. Why bother if a 150cc does the same numbers plus less systems to worry about. Alleyoop

I have only sold 3 Zodiacs but, none of them had tranny issues. All 3 were shipped with PDI and Assembly done by Ice Bear. I will check with my rep to see if there is an issue or not. The running gear is the same in all the 300s.

The running gear is the same in all the 300s. As far as speed goes The 150 Eagle is rated at 49.7 MPH and the 300 Magnum is rated at 55.9 MPH, now the 2010 Magnum I own does over 60 MPH. So who knows. Jim

I got my Zodiac last April??? and have had absolutely no issues with REVERSE. I can deal with the 55 - 60+ MPH as I only scoot around town and pick up chicks anyway I get stares, questions, and offers to buy. Can'tt wail till spring so I can get more miles on it. I had some issues last summer and didn't get to put as many miles on it as I woulda liked. I'm contemplating getting a GL1200 trike, for road trips, but, who knows. For me, my 300cc Zodiac is doing just fine, forward and backwards. I just gotta make a crutch holder and i'll be just ducky.

Dragon I see you have what appears to be a 150cc ruckus clone trike. (forgot the 'official designation) How ya like it? Been thinking of getting one of those also, just for chits and giggles. Or a SSR Rowdy (but not sure if I can balance it, see avatar as to why)
Just curious Thanx Dave
