Hello All:
I have a 2007 LB150T-12, SUNL ADVENTURE 150cc with 10,500 miles on it.
The handlebar began to get sticky in the straight-ahead position. Upon disassembly I discovered that the steering stem lower bearing race is worn & needs to be replaced.
Any suggestions on how to remove the race?
Thanks in advance.

If it is press fitted in like a boat trailer hub what you do is take a piece of bar stock and tap it out from the other side.

Hammer and drift, from backside. Then grind a little off of the old race's OD and use it (or a socket that's ever so slightly smaller than the original race's OD) to tap/drive/seat the new race home - little by little, round and round, keeping the new race aligned in the bore as you go (critical!). You will hear/feel the sound of the "hits" change from a duller "tunk" to a sharper, solid "ring/ting" when the race is fully seated in the bore.

Most are not pressed on, they just lay there in the grove and you can just grab it and pull it out, and then just clean up the grove and bottom seating and apply grease and slip on the new one. Alleyoop

Thanks all:
I have succeeded in removing the race. Interestingly enough, the old bearing slid off the steering stem. The replacement bearing's inner diameter is .003" smaller than the steering stem's diameter. So I am filing/sanding down the stem in order to allow the bearing to slide on to the seat.
As you have said: sometimes the race fits in such a way as it will come down with the bearing. In other instances the race is press fitted into the housing. I am finding out that the same is true of the bearing.
Thanks again for the ideas & suggestions.
