Worse than rain is tar snakes.
Around here they patch the cracks in the highway by dribbling hot tar into the crack. 6 months later if the temp gets over 75 and you are on a curve leaning and hit a tar snake you will slide off it until you hit dry pavement. It might only be an inch or so of side slide but some riders wished they had put on their brown corduroys before leaving the house. The cracks from side to side are no big deal but the crack that runs same direction as the road you want to avoid at all costs.

can u put same size tire front and back? No. Whhhaaaat??? so why did the japanese made the front and back rim's size the same then on my morphous? grrr, i'm starting to dislike the japanese now.. jim will be glad to hear that. jim, btw i am not a mechanic, i bought a sunlee 50cc chinese scoot 4yrs ago and dealt with it for 3months, and it was the worst 3months of my riding life.(no offense, just telling the truth) i have been riding and tinkering with japanese scoot for 25 yrs, Honda dio 1,2 and the ZX.,, Honda Sky,Honda Jog, did some modification and race a couple of time in the streets of Asia,(it's a big thing in asia) got caught several time by the police for illegal assembly in the streets without permit, illegal racing and betting involving money.,plus distracting the flow of traffic. but, bribery is rampant in asia so i'm free because i have money. bleh! i deal mostly with 2 stroke scoots,,,best for racing. now, i mellowed down...so i got myself a classy morphous and a trailer in a bag(lol)... 3 things i'm busy with nowadays: work, sex and scootering. thanks!

So you bought a SunL scooter, possibly the worst brand on the entire scooter market, four years ago and they all stink???!!!
Thank Heavens you didn't buy a Bridgestone motorcycle, then you'd swear that all Japanese motorcycles are junk.

i'm so happy with my morph!....first it doesnt look like any ordinary scooter that you see around., runs very smooooooth, quiet, it has the power that i prefer.., throttle is very sensitive., it glides, crawls, draws attention almost everywhere i go. i dare you to line up majesty, burgman 400 & 650, silverwing,bmw,piaggio,vespa,MC-###??, PCX,tmax, helix(eeww!), ruckus big and small, Super8 and other with my morphous in the street and see which among the scoots people will be attracted to appearance wise...because those other scoots i mentioned looks very much the same, they all look like a ordinary, regular, common scooters.
morphous is same category as the CanAm spyder and MP3,,weird but unique looking.
i'm just so glad that yamaha discontinued it's manufacture, my morph is now a rare collectible item, that's why i bought two.... you should see and ride one to love one....
now about trailering the morph... to me morphous is a gem,a class cadillac scooter, i want to ride it only on the places i want to ride it, i don't want it to wear quickly,i don't even need to prove that it can do a 2k mile trip or so... id' rather have the trailer get the beating from the road than my morph. now when i get to my destination, thats where i ride it to death.... i'd say, if you love your scooter, pamper them!

Very few two wheel vehicles have the same size tires on both wheels. I could not think of a motorcycle with the same sizes, Though there have been a few scooters, mostly those with rims that can be swapped back and forth. Vespa for one, the riva also has swapable rims. When tires and tubes were not as reliable in the early days of scooters some carried a spare that would fit either end. Todays scooters just like motorcycles almost with out exception have a smaller and fatter rear tire and a larger and skinnier front for lots of good reasons.

Thanks everyone for all the input, I seriously will consider replacing the original tires soon not just for the wet season but for normal conditions as well. I am relatively new to the scooter world, I acquired this last project about a month ago which is a Eurospeed es250b, prior to that I used my wife's cs125 for only a few miles (way too small for me ) Will keep you posted of the results after the tire swap, thanks again. Yomo

Hey Yomo.. since no one mentioned it: Check your air pressure also. If you are over inflated you reduce the contact patch. A little under inflated can make a big difference in the rain. Also, if at all possible don't ride immediately after the rain starts. Give it 15 or 20 minutes to wash away some of the oil and other slick crap.. Keep the shiny side up..
Nova. Oh, same size tires front n back on my mc-79-250. Different sizes on my FJ1200.
