Recently I just got my scooter running easily, but idles for about 2 seconds then turns off. It also turns off when I release the rear brake. Any ideas why this is happening

Always identify your scooter, to allow the folks on the forum to make a relevant diagnosis.
While awaiting posts to assist you, consider cleaning the jets of the carburetor, to help with the stalling.

I have a Honda Dio SK50 1998. I have cleaned the jets numerous times I have noticed on the autobystarter 1 of the wires have snapped off, would this be why it's affecting the scooter?

If one wire is cut from the ENRICHER(autobystarter) what that means it is feeding extra fuel all the time and not shutting the extra fuel after it warms up. Where did the wire SNAP off is there some left coming out of the ENRICHER? If so solder the wire back up and wrap it up with electrical tape. Alleyoop By the way here is the service manual for it: www.motorscooterguide.net/Manuals/Honda_SK50_Service_Manual.pdf
