I have a 2008 Peace Scooter, when u hit the starter it will not start. I charged the battery but as soon as I turn the scooter on it shows it needs charged

Are you checking the battery with a VOLT METER? Test the battery just sitting there before you start it and see what the volts are. If you hit the start button and it shows well 11 or lower volts you have a bad battery.

Welcome..... Alleyoop is correct...either the battery is shorted internally or has a dead cell. If it is the original battery and over 5 yrs old it is in need of replacement....Enjoy Your Ride....

If you don't have a meter, some auto stores will test batteries for free. Autozone, for example.

Now the title says the scooter will NOT TURN OFF, is that the case or is it the STARTER will not run? If the latter I think its your battery or your solenoid. Do your brakelights come on when you squeeze the brakes.

Do you know where your SOLENOID is? If not follow the RED THICK WIRE off the battery and it will be connected to one of the TERMINALS of your SOLENOID. Then Get a screwdriver or pliers or wire and TOUCH BOTH TERMINALS on the SOLENOID. See if it SPINS YOUR STARTER. Alleyoop  |
