My 150cc was running just fine. Need to adjust the carb a tad. But ran fine for a few miles. Then as I was going it just stalled out and would not restart. I think I heard a small pop sound but that's it. Anyone have a idea? Fuel is getting there now. Battery charged just wont start.

Have to check if fuel is getting to the plug. So crank it over a few times and take the plug out and see if it is wet or dry. Alleyoop

I just checked to see if I have spark. Would you know it I don't. So I guess My coil just went bad. It is new but I did notice that I popped one day when I was working on it. I guess it touched something? Im pretty sure I'm getting fuel to the plug. It is pumping good now. If its not the coil then Ill look into the plug being wet or not. So do you have any advise on the spark if it just happens not to be the coil?

Here is the path the plug gets its juice: 1. Plug 2. Plug Boot Cap 3. Coil 4. CDI 5. Pickup Coil 6. Stator
1. As the flywheel spins around the stator the magnets in the Flywheel create Electricity. 2. It then sends some Electricity to the CDI. 3. The CDI stores it and builds it up to around 400volts. 4. Then 1 magnetic outside on the Flywheel passes under the Pick Up Coil and sends a small amount of voltage to the Pick Up Coil. 5. The Pick Up Coil then sends a little Voltage to signal the CDI to Release the Stored Voltage. 6. The CDI releases the Voltage about 400 volts to the COIL. 7. The Coil then takes that and converts it to 20000-40000 volts and sends it down the wire to the plug. Hope that explains how the Spark Plug gets it juice. Alleyoop

Ok its so weird. I received a new coil but it was crack but it still worked. I put it on just to see if it would spark and at first it didn't. So I think that I was putting the plug on the wrong spot to see if it was sparking. I put it in a different spot and it did spark. So I put it back in and it started right up. Do you think that I may have a loose wire somewhere or the coil was bad and the new one is working even tho the black cap is broken?

Thanks for all that help! I just have a small problem its small I'm sure. When I am riding it seems to have a feeling of surging if that helps describe it? It has plenty of get up and go but I can only get it to 50mph in a half mile. Do you have any suggestion's on this?

Does the scoot have a tachometer built into the instrument panel? If so what does it read when you twist the throttle trying to get to 50mph? The surging is probably the Carbs Fuel Ratio Mixture is not set correctly. If the RPMS are to low you may have weights that are to heavy and that will cause sluggish take offs and getting up to speed quicker. On the center stand AFTER it warms up sitting idling for at least 5 minutes. Give the Throttle a Quick Full twist and let go. The RPMS should climb up RIGHT AWAY and come down pretty quick back to IDLE. Here is how to adjust your Fuel Ratio Mixture AFTER AT LEAST 5 minutes idling IT HAS TO BE WARMED up and by the 5 minutes the ENRICHER should have cut off the extra fuel for cold starts. It doesn't have a tack. Has plenty of pick up. It just has a hesition or power loss just for a second keeps going fast but you hear it and feel it a bit.

Yea the Fuel Ratio Screw needs a tweak to take that stumble out of it, turn the Fuel Ratio Screw 1/4 Counter Clockwise little richer and see if that takes the stumble out of it.
If 1/4 Counter Clockwise makes it worse then From where it is at Turn it CLOCKWISE 1/2 turn that will be the 1/4 turn you turned it Counter Clockwise plus 1 more Clockwise to lean it out. Alleyoop

Ok here is a video of what's happening. When I give it full throttle it seems to boggs down. Also if I let off of the throttle some it seems to get more power. That's not in the video. I noticed that when I was trying to adjust the screw.

You do not have a FILTER on the end of the AIR TUBE!! you are sucking in to much air, it is not getting enough gas. You need to put an air filter on the end of the AIR TUBE. Is that rattling sound coming from the valve cover? If so your valves are to loose, adjust when the motor is cold and piston is at top dead center. The CAM has to be in this position then you can adjust the valves with a feeler gauge set them both to .004 inchs that is what the feeler gauge will have stamped on it. And you adjust them to where it has a little resistance as you move the feeler gauge in and out. Alleyoop
