Hello Frank, you still out there. Just wondering how you made out with the trike, last we knew, you were taking it out for a run. Hope all is well.

Hello! -Yes I am still alive. I have spent a few days working on a '76 F250 with a 460, broken distributor, and locked up oil pump. It is going back together. We buttoned up the lower end today. The valve covers need to go back on then put all the other things together; oil, belts, plugs, etc, B4 it can be cranked up. The master cylinder and brake booster need replaced. The trike runs great except for my problems with right turns. I picked up a vehicle power outlet to install. The tail light is starting to melt the lens. I have ordered a red LED #1157 replacement bulb, a new set of LED running/clearance lights, and a new set of 27W LED 'headlights'. It may take a while for some of the stuff to get here from China. When it all gets here I will make up a new headlight wiring harness, remove the old harness & lights, and install the new stuff. I have not decided exactly how to hook up the 'headlights' since there is no high/low beam option. Not exactly a legal setup but I have seen a lot of non-DOT light setups on motorcycles around here. I will have lots of mods on the scoot and I haven't learned how to ride it yet. Should I post a list of mods??? I picked up a lawn mower & ATV lift on sale at HF today also. www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/lifts-stands/high-lift-riding-mower-atv-jack-60395.htmlNormally $150, on sale for $80, and with a 25% off coupon it was $60 +tax. It will pick up the two wheel front end easily. I am using a rope & pulley setup to lift the back end. The whole trike weighs somewhere around 275#. It will be much easier to make the next oil change.

This 76 F250 belongs to a friend. I have a 78 F250 with a 400 to play with. It has a few mods with many more to come.
I have some errands to run with the scoot, then I will see what I can do with that lift. If it works it will be a perfect time to change the oil. It is getting cold here. I may have to obtain some cold weather gear for the scoot. I bought a cheap $44 modular type full face helmet to help with winter riding.

I found one other problem while running errands. Due to a stiff wrist from an old break, carpal tunnel, old age, etc, I can not go from idle to full throttle. My wrist will not twist enough and it is painful to try. I have to shift grip positions to go from half to full. I also have a tendency not to release the throttle when I go to the 'death grip' full brakes position. That earned me a scuffed fender today when I entered my driveway a little 'Hot' in order to avoid a long long line of approaching traffic. I see thumb throttles like the ones used on ATV's, but that seems to open a whole can of worms with the controls on the throttle pod. Has anyone cut their throttle grip off about 1" from the pod and immobilized the rest of the grip? I am thinking I could put a thumb operated 'bump' on the short section of twist throttle handle. I have very mobile thumbs, double jointed and all that. I don't ride long distances. I only have 90 klicks on the machine so far. Most of my rides are for groceries etc and under three miles one way. I will make an occasional 6 or 10 mile trip. I got to talk to a Honda Ruckus rider today. It was very interesting. My idle speed and max speed seems to be increasing as the engine breaks in. I am getting a little better at right turns. I get to put the new lift together tomorrow. I am still trying to get the crappy 'flip' cell phone pics onto my computer, then onto the web. I guess I don't have to feel so bad about using a flip phone since a billionaire uses one. My son is mortified though. I never liked butt dialing or getting butt dialed. I have to admit I don't get as much of that with smartphones vs the old phones with all the buttons on the outside.
