I just got a Bashan 50, 2011 model. I will be riding it to work about 2 miles each way so it should be perfect. Runs well, but it was badly spray painted by the PO. I am going to have to repaint it unless I get the spray coat off, not likely but I am gonna try that first.

I will post photo when I get one.
Looks like a great forum.

Love that orange paint scheme. I got a lot of paint off using rubbing alcohol and 000 Steel wool.
Once I get that down I will sand smooth and repaint.
Why matte? Just for the look? I am thinking gloss red and black.. UGA go DAWGS. colors..with a UGA logo maybe..

A flat or matt finish is idiot proof and will mask all sorts of imperfections. Looks good too!

I like the matte too. maybe will do a combo matte black and shiny red. Got the front and lower side sanded and painted the first coats yesterday. Coming along.
