Well! We finally agree on something. Earthman finally blew his engine when his valve seized in the guide, yet the thought that using an abrasive powder had something to do with it never entered his mind. He got his comeuppance when he replaced the engine instead of the head or valves. I don't think he's riding yet.
Luke is right about this. Regular or synthetic oil is more than enough for long engine life.

yah, i can't believe how Earthman was able to convince and hypnotize a lot of members to put boric acid crystals in their oil reservoir, shoot!!!!. he said he went to school to study that. my gosh! can't believe how a simple cockroach killer can make an engine runs smooth or whatever. LOL

I think there may be a little some thing to the boron thing but not the way earthman was doing it. If there was a real benefit one of the oil companies would patent it or get it into their superduper oil and make a run at selling the best oil money could buy. One of the oil companies sold boron treated gas when I was a kid.... DX as I remember and it did no better than any thing else.
If it sounds too good to be true....your right.... it is. There is probably still a few wanting to give the con men their hard earned money for the $3 or 400 scooters shipped from china to your door for $50 too. I think if you were to travel to china you could find all kinds of scooters in that price range brand new but by the time you got them here it would cost more than internet sales and then they would have no dot certification and could not be registered and ridden. john

I don't dislike JR. We have issues. I admire the fact that he has over 12,000 miles on his Roketa and doesn't flinch at traveling long distances on it. He's one of the people I point at when I hear that Chinese scooters have short fuses. He's left his stock and is proof positive that the Linhai Yamaha design is a good one.

Nice to have warm feelings about ScootDawg.
I have a lot of them but there were many problems with lots of the members, fights over little things, people that felt they were the most important member, had the only correct point of view and I d not miss it at all anymore.
Lee should have let got of the forum years before he finally did.
You have a great forum here, take care of it and be good to the members.

No hurt feelings here at all, you can like or dislike any forum I could care less. People join for different reasons some want to help the not so mechanical people, some join cause they are lonely and have no friends, some join just to shoot the breeze having to do nothing about scoots..etc..
Using KLIFF as a name now I see, what happened to ALAUDA (HAHA). You know we can automatically change a user coming on with a different name to use his registered name don't you. Its a Global script in the logon part of the software. Just so you know If you see your registered name come up(HAHA). Alleyoop

Dean. "Now there's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long, long time." I wonder if he still has the Burgy. He was the first person I heard of with a Fashion. He was happy with it until he took it to Big A$$ Motors and Steve knocked 10 mph off the top end "tuning it up". Of course it was all the bike's fault.
Yesterday I went to lurk at the new Scootdawg. Same as always, people flaming each other instead of talking it out. Sad.

I went to scoot dawg.net. I never even think to go to It Is the Ride. I think I went once, read the comment that got Cookees banned and never went back.
