I too am very sad about scootdawg's demise. Even though a lot of the info is still accessible with some creative googlling, many of the pictures have been lost. I really liked the deep history.

It would still be alive if people hadn't decided that money was more important than principals. I don't know the former admin's situation but he came-he went-he came-he went. I saw it happen to better scooter sites than that.
And this is a way better place than SD ever was.

I know I personally got a warmer welcome here than scootdawg. I quit using their forums pretty quickly.

And this is a way better place than SD ever was. That is not true. Back in the early days of Chinese scoots 2005 or so there was not many boards a guy with a Chinese scoot go and not getting bashed into insanity, Scoot Dawg was verrrry helpful and thee best scoot board of the time. there was no info on them and parts were very difficult to find parts for. This board has it' fair share of former Scoot dawgs |

the name "scootdawg" is just awsome... i remember some of the prominent names back there and then. to name some: there is: JR(everybody's friend, i'm sure everyone here agrees, uhm) Dean( trouble maker, like me lol) Kliff( up to now he is unknown to me) Medman.---(i forgot the numbers that goes after his name) Alauda( the person with numerous genders) Coolhand(mysterious) And who will forget the famous "boric acid man" Terra Nuvo (it's either you love him or hate him) Madcolie( the barbecue sauce man, i still have two bottles inside my ref collecting dust and cub webs..lol ) Earlwb( great guy, he is a walking scooter encyclopedia) Alleyoop( another walking chinese scooter trike encyclopedia and dictionary,nice man) Sylverkat( the blonde, everybody's sweetheart because she is very nice and witty and smart ...and yes you heard it right,she's blonde,don't argue please! KZ1000st( i'd rather not comment/ he's had enough of my comments..lol, he WAS nice to me tho, i said was! Bashan( always friendly, likes my morphous very much, ugh, i like him tho) BigGuy( he always posts with minimum of 3 paragraphs, nothing less than that, i think he needs to debate with KZ) (?) there is this computer guy from Hawaii, forgot his name, but he is a real computer savvy Janice(?) another moderator who just disappeared and never came back..SHE GOT TIRED OF DRAMA, ooops,sorry i forgot to unlock the capslock,,lol Aaron (??)(first mod to ban me, grrr!  ) he can't take jokes. lol Lee( the owner, the founder of Scootdawg and sold it to somebody when he and his gf got into some troubles ,or lover's spat or whatever, the rest is HISTORY), yeah alley, money talks and someone listens, ,,oooops! ;D no offense, i'm just trying to reminisce the good old days...join me and contribute some memries ..... -----will post as i remember them----- |

don't miss them a bit. It was great at first yes, but after lee left and a few of the mods there tried inflicting their ideas and it went to hell. When doc started up rich had the only place for schematics, service manuals and other manufactures information. I tried to steer a few people here to help them repair their scooters and was threatened by some of the mods for sending them here so I quit going there. Some of the same mods are still there at their ride forum so I never registered there.

there is this Scootdawg.net thingy, i dunno if it's a replica,or a clone or a reincarnation or a hybrid of the orig SD...still trying to figure out what's it's essence and purpose..LOL
i heard that Terra Nuvo is a member of that forum, it must be a circus show out there,,,LOL
