I know its really neat! Its basically the beginning of the modern day scooter engine! hahaha

I was NOT getting ANY spark. I found the exact same coil for the bike, but unfortunately its about 120 dollars after shipping ://
SO I bought a TWO STROKE, 50CC, 2 wire Coil, for a motorized bike kit, found here:

Several links seem to suggest 'any universal moped coil' will do the job.
As far as I know the moto would have a magneto ignition with points and condenser but can`t be certain, this link might help..www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Guide_to_Motobecane_spark_and_timing

Unlike the CVT's that we have now, the big rear pulley doesn't change ratio. Only the front variator changes. So the motor has to pivot to make up the difference.

As for the cable operated lever to the head I think I saw mention somewhere of a decompression device. That would bump one of the valves partly open to allow you to pedal fast enough to get it started.

Wait. Scratch that. 2-stroke. No valves. Must do something that has the same effect htough.

Thanks Alot Guys! I have found that repair manual too, its a GREAT HELP!

I have noticed that the only wires going to the magneto, From the coil, is ONE GREY Wire. The coil that I purchased has 3 wires total, SPARK PLUG WIRE, BLUE WIRE(FROM MAGNETO) BLACK WIRE(GROUND). I know this because I have had a Motorized Bike Engine, WITH this coil. and have replaced both the magneto, and coil on my old one.

That being said, as long as my magneto is good, this coil should get the signal from the magneto and fire just fine. It IS a coil for a 2 Stroke, 50-66cc engine... I can't wait for it to get here so I can either FRY it, or have a good solution!

FINALLY got the coil in, Thanks to Treatland.tv I was skeptical at first, the website isn't designed all that great and I thought it might be a trap website, but low and behold, looks exactly the same!
Gonna put it on this afternoon, pics will be posted!
