Hey guys, I am Adjusting the Valves right now, and I am not sure how to find TDC, I can see two bumps or notchs, but nothing on the case to line up with??? I have the shroud ALMOST removed, I didnt wanna have to take it all back apart, so I have it 50% visible, but I don't see any place to line up with, short from taking the spark plug out and looking at the piston...
THANKS GUYS!

First rotate motor so the CAM SHAFT SPROCKET little holes lines up with the top of the head like this. Then Look at the Flywheel and make sure the CASE POINTER is POINTING CLOSE to the "T" Mark or on the "T" mark it is ok IF it is pointing a Little BEFORE the "T" .. BUT NOT AFTER THE 'T" toward the "F" mark. Then you should be able to grab both ROCKERS and able to wiggle them. Then you can adjust them both. Alleyoop

THANKS for the advice Alley! This cam gear is a Little different, it has a 1/4inch notch in the TOP piece of the Cam Shaft Mount. I FINALLY noticed it AFTER I pointed both of the Lobes down! haha OF COURSE!
I got it to TDC and set the valves to .005 for both the intake and exhaust. I had a quick question about that also. I know I have heard you say .003, do you know the pros of having the gap bigger vs smaller? I guess I am asking, since the Intake valve is opening Wider, does this take in MORE Oxygen, for bigger bang? Or is it TO WIDE, causing a timing issue?
THANKS ALLEY!

TO WIDE, the wider the gap the LESS THE VALVE OPENS so less goes in and you have a 50cc which a good setting is.003 inchs on the INTAKE AT LEAST and you can go .004 inchs on the exhaust which is the one that usually tightens up on you due to the extreme heat it takes. Alleyoop

Just a couple of quick pictures of the Aprilla, Side and Front. <a href="http://s948.photobucket.com/user/djlevitate34/media/SIDE2.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad321/djlevitate34/SIDE2.png" border="0" alt=" photo SIDE2.png"/></a>
I love how smooth this scooter is. The bigger wheel base, and better suspension really shine through. It can handle some bigger bumps, as well as washboards, a road I know by my house has waves in the concrete, and the shocks on this thing made them feel smooth!
ALSO, ALLEY, with the Valve set at .005 for intake and exhaust, the scooter starts RIDICULOUSLY EASY. Literally ONE kick, or HALF a push on the starter button.
All in All it is great little scooter. Unfortunatly I have only been able to get it up to about 35mph, where my QMB139 50cc(Wildfire), and Vento Triton 50cc will get my big a$$ up to about 42. I'm not sure if its an air problem, carb, or carb tuning problem, BUT it feels like it should have just a few more RPM... I used a different air filter than the stock one, it is a stock filter off of a 50cc, and it ALMOST looks identical, but I know that USUALLY if I feel like I am gettin TO MUCH AIR, I can take the carb needle down a notch to richen it, and it gets a LITTLE bit better TOP END, with a LONGER accel.

Mikey34, those Aprillas Scarbero 50s are some nice machines TAKE care of that 50cc because they do not make any 50ccs anymore, they went to 100ccs and up now. Alleyoop
