Ok, so it was a warm day yesterday and i was excited to go out for a ride. Hopped on and boom, the scooter bogs at less than 20 miles an hour. i can't break that speed either. It sat for three days, surely the carb didn't clog up in that little amount of time? It was running perfect. I've adjusted the air/fuel mix and it seems to be no change. Ideas?

First, put in Seafoam in the tank. Second, look for a vacuum line somewhere that is cracked, broken or off. Bogging is a sure sign of an over lean fuel mixture. Unless a mouse got in the airbox and built a nest.

If it`s a 4 stroke then check the rubber diaphragm in the top of the carb. If it has the tiniest split in it, can make the scoot run flat as a pancake.

I have the same scooter as yours, and yes...it happens a lot..my goodness. check the fuel delivery, from petcock down to the carb. mine was fouling the spark plugs a lot i figured i had a bad petcock. i replaced it then ran fine,,,after two days another problem arises, AND SO ON AND SO FORTH!, i had a very exciting scooterlife then when i had it,due to the fact that i get to fix it everyday then the morphous came along.,that's when my life got boring, i just ride but the excitement of fixing it is gone due to the FACT that it never stall... so what i did was to replace the cvt even if it doesnt need to be replace just so a have something to do(which kz thought that i was fixing it due to mech failure(nice try)..LOL good luck dawgtwig,,hope you can resolve the problem and get to ride soon. have a great day.

What scooter do you have and what motor is in there? How does it start when cold and when hot. Need some detail information on how it acts at different times starting cold starting hot on cold days on hot days etc.. Have to try and pinpoint what part of the system is causing this and with some detail info we can come up with what to check and or do. Alleyoop

Maybe you should just buy a better scooter.
In the meantime check for leaks, sumdawg it happens to ANYTHING.
I have the same scooter as yours,
Check your tenses. You meant to say. "I had a scooter that looked like yours. I didn't check with people and bought the cheapest, worst scooter in the world from the worst company ever. I should have checked with KZ before I did. I was so foolish and he's so much smarter than me."

It starts fine, idles fine. When i get going as soon as i give it more than a quarter throttle it starts bogging. If I keep it steady easy throttle it will climb to about 15mph, if i try anymore than that it bogs and just won't have it.
I'm going to dig a little deeper today and see what i can see. I did adjust the air fuel a bit but to not avail. It seems to do the same thing no matter what i do as far as that goes.

I followed the guide, it will quickly climb rpms but as soon as it gets around 5x rpms it will just cut out like it's going to quit and then i have to blip the throttle to get it to recover. It does great until it gets around those speeds and then it's just like everything stops at at once.

Does it make the BOGGGGG sound or what sound do you hear if any?
Ok get up to speed where it will start to act up and BACK OFF THE THROTTLE 1/4 of an INCH and HOLD IT THERE. Now pay attention to what the scooter does: A. Does it speed up B. Does it just settle down and run good. Alleyoop

It does make a bit of a sound, alley. Kind of a rhythmic pulse. Alot of noise coming from the exhaust.
When i do what you said it will just settle and run good.

Great!! it is running to RICH to much fuel on the top end killing it. Did you by chance put in a bigger MAIN JET or change anything.
You can try this: With the motor off turn the FUEL RATIO SCREW CLOCKWISE until it stops do not force it just until it bottoms out. COUNT THE NUMBER of turns it took to bottom out.
Then turn it out 1/2 less than what it took to close. So if it took 3 turns before it close turn it back out COUNTER CLOCKWISE 2 1/2 turns and try it. If it still does it then turn it CLOCKWISE 1/4 turns at a time and try.
You can always get back to the original setting because you know how it was set. Alleyoop

At 15 mph you're dying at about the time the carburetor changes from the idle mixture circuit to the main jet and needle. Either your main jet is clogged or the diaphragm is torn or you have a vacuum line off somewhere interfering with the vacuum pressure being able to lift the carburetor slide.

Alright, so as i was messing with the carb today i notice a hissing sound. I look under the scooter and the grass is being blown around by air coming from around the head. Now, i can't tell if it's coming from exactly. It may be the exhaust, but it seems to be coming from the beside it somewhere around the head. I've looked at all the vacuum hoses and can't seem to find any loose. I'm guessing it has to be the exhaust? Any other ideas?
