In general are riding RPMS supposed to be higher when running cold until the enricher cuts off? Im noticing RPMS mid to upper 7000s cold and low to mid 7000s when warm and cruising.

Yes, the Enricher is feeding extra fuel until it cuts off the extra fuel which is within 3-5 minutes Alleyoop

Ok. I also raised my idle 300 Rpms more. Does that added rpm get added to the over all Rpms at top speed? If 40 wAs 7500 will that become 7800 now? I noticed that this morning which prompted the thread. Or to rephrAse. Does the beginning idle rpms impact overall max rpms?

No that only effects the rpms at IDLE. What effects MAX rpms are the weights in your Variator and or changes to the CVT. Your motor can only put out only so many RPMS, but if your running in the 7K range the 150cc motors they make their MAX Horsepower right around 7500 rpms, so your fine with the rpms. Alleyoop

I've noticed the same thing with both my scooters. I don't know if it is because cold air is more dense, if you are running stock rollers packed in heavy grease, cold transmission oil, cold tires, or all of these. Mine seems to run stronger when it is cold than when it is fully warmed up, and pulls at 300 to 500 rpms higher range.

Yes when it warms up and I've driven it a few minutes, everything settles down to normal.

umkay! I guess now that I have my variator dialed in and running exactly between 7400-7700 from start to 40 recently this was the first time i rode it seeing the dark tach when i had some light so that accounts for the few hundred or so more than I get warmed up.
O also believe that temperature fluctuations and AF changes can aslo effect max rpms? I notice that small changes in the screw not only changes idle but can also help or hurt performance and rpms as well.

yes of course leaning the mixture out will produce a little more power and a couple hundred more rpms or so. You want to run a little on the rich side at WOT otherwise if any thing changes gets colder it will run leaner and the motor may get to hot. Yes the temp and air density effects the power can make, 4 strokes LOVE cold air they make a lot more power, actually in hot weather the motors loose power. Alleyoop
