Finally got the ignition switch today, I wired up, color matched wires, I bought a way cheaper ignition(7.50) its just a barrel keyed switch, with the same color wires, for a dirt bike, etc. Got it all wired up, Everything works, except the horn...? im getting 11v to the horn power wire too... but anyway, it tries to start, but it gets one GOOD crank, then the starter just spins...
I am going to take the CVT cover off and see exactly whats goin on, but I was wondering, is there maybe a starter kill since this IS NOT the stock ignition switch???
THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS!!!!

here is a pic of it The "White" wire, isn't white, it is pink, and on the old ignition switch, this was a loose wire, out of the plug making it the 4th wire of 4. the other 3 wires are color matched but for some reason, even on the stock one, it is a different color... Attachments:

I also just found out that a low battery will cause this... My Bendix Gear isn't throwing out...
I will try charging the battery for a bit and see what happens.. I'll check the wires for corrosion too, BUT the scooter is literally BRAND NEW(304 Miles)... What do you guys think??? THANKS!!!!

For the battery mileage is not an issue. The age and state of charge are what makes a difference. I keep mine on a little charger while I am working on it to keep the battery up. I use a cheap $20 Harbor Freight charger # 99857. It charges and then maintains the charge. I did not install it in my scoot. I just keep it on a shelf next to the scoot and run a cord over to the cigarette lighter type power outlet on my scoot.

so did this guy, but for some reason the battery was dead...?
ANYWAY, I got the Ignition Switch installed with some GREAT!!! Plastic's Epoxy by JB-WELD. Looks fantastic! I would say better than the stock, as the epoxy made the ring around the switch, waterproof. and Feels just as stiff as the stock, I was worried about this because it DOESN'T attach to the steering column.
While I was RE-Installing the carb, I cracked the air box hose. So I bought a new one, as the customer did not want to upgrade to UNI.(Because we would need to increase JET also).
Now for tuning, and this one is done gentleman!!!

Batteries don't last forever. These scoot batteries like a 0.5A - 2A charge rate. Using the wrong charging rate will kill them. So will just leaving them on a regular charger that is not designed to reduce the charge rate to a very low maintenance rate. Some chargers taper off and others just pulse occasionally.
JB Weld is great stuff. It is basically a 2-part epoxy with a filler material in it. I keep a fresh package around while I use up my opened tubes. Epoxy does not go bad over time. I have some 40 year old Mil-spec epoxy that is still good as new. I have run into some consumer packages of 5-minute epoxy that would not harden when mixed. They did not go bad, they were bad from the factory. I try to stick to the name brand epoxies and other adhesives. There are some things not to do when mixing epoxy like using the mixing stick to apply the adhesive or scraping the mixing container surface.
