Hey guys before I do this, is this video the correct way to put on an after market airfilter? And are these things good for the scooter. I ordered one last month and just got it in the mail. Just wanted to double check before i remove the old box and put this on:

Its really best to keep the existing airbox. You can avoid jetting nitemares

^how should I go about cleaning the air box, I couldn't find anything on how to clean/change the filter in a box setup. Its almost 7 years old so I'd say it definitely needs a fresh filter.

I could only watch about 10 seconds of that video with that guy....
They are cheap. You can get a whole new box and filter for 34.00 from partsfor scooters.com....or just get a new foam insert if thats all you can afford.

if you comfortable taking the box off just clean it with some degreaser mixed with water using some rags or paper towel...or just clean the inside of the box the best you can with it on the bike....its definitely time for a new filter... if you put a performance filter on it you will have to mess with the jets on the carburetor... unless your gonna do some major engine mods just buy a new foam filter and keep the old air box
