i'll be more concern about the comfort level of the helmet because they vary from helmet to helmet. The level of safety tho is the same,, you can die even when your wear the most expensive helmet, it all depends on the impact on your head and spinal column., a $19.90 helmet from K-mart can save your life. i'd choose a helmet which can reduce wind hizzing by 90% or more....i'd like a quiet ride, that's why i get a morphous, the quiet-est scooter EVER!!..oftenly mistaken as an electric scooter because of it's quiet-ness!!

My imported helmet supposedly meets DOT specs, -but who really knows. It fits very snug, I even have to spread it a little when putting it on. I wish it had better ventilation over the top of my head.
It really doesn't matter much because if I take a hit, body or head, I am done for anyway. Diabetes is not conducive to healing. I fall somewhere every day so I don't even have to be on a scoot to get borked.

Nobody is ready to go.
A DOT certified helmet is perfectly acceptable. Years ago one of the magazines reported that the statistics didn't show any difference in fatalities between Snell helmets and DOT helmets. The important thing is to wear one. I've worn a full face helmet in all kinds of weather since around 1975.

Luke you are not requited to wear a helmet while pulling a trailer with a scooter on it in any state. None of us know that you can really even ride a scooter... You are known as Luke Trailer Rider on this forum, the Chino Scooter Basher... If the wind is bothering you roll the car window...

u crack me up... well at least in AZ its not required to wear helmet, but in california you need to wear it as soon as u step inside the Ca border. with or without trailer. bleh! why dont we just unite our energy to convince KZ to quit adoring chinese scoots. we might change his mind.

ah yah you have recently bought a Silver wing, i thought its a majesty. but still its japanese made,, i really cant stop wondering why KZ and jct keep on worshiping chinese scoots. what's with chinese scooters?? my wife texted me yesterday she said she wants to buy a chinese scoot in summer, i texted her back in capital letters, i said i will divorce her if she buys a chino scoot. and im not joking!!!!! illl buy her a yamaha C3 if she insisted to ride.

Then you're wasting your money. A Lance PCH 50 is a better scooter and the parts are both cheaper and you don't have to wait a month to get them. A C3! Another ugly slug that Yamaha couldn't give away. Maybe the 2014s will look better. Oh wait! They don't sell it anymore.
