See? this video is what i'm talking about.... and they are blaming the unexpected gusty winds??? the Nerve!!.... they should look at the quality of their work before they blame Mother Nature... video---------> No wind gust, look again! They forgot to unhook the extension cord. On the other hand, I am willing to bet they eventually land someone on the Moon. Getting them back may take longer.... There is another very interesting space exhibit to visit. Go to the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson Kansas. The last time I was there they had all the period US and Russian hardware standing across from each other in a timeline type of exhibit. The differences in design philosophy were extraordinary. www.cosmo.org/

FrankenMech, thanks for the link to Cosmo. A few years back the wife and I were traveling from somewhere south, Arkansas it think, to Denver Colorado. It was a very hot day and we had decided to stop for the night. Then we found the Cosmo and decided to stay a day and look it over. Really a nice place to visit. We did all that we could that day. Saw some films, did the museum walk through, really enjoyed it in the air conditioned museum. Never thought that we would find such a grand space museum in the middle of the US in Kansas. Thanks for reminding me of one of our surprises found while traveling. .

They are supposed to have the largest collection of Soviet hardware outside of Moscow and the largest collection of US hardware outside of the Smithsonian. I don't know if that is true or ever was. They do have an impressive collection of both.
China has probably sent spies to photograph everything. LOL
That SR-71 is impressive.

i've tried to question in all angles why these people wanted to go to the moon, but i just cant justify it! God gave us the earth to live in,He gave us trees, animals as food, air, water we have everything here, they are just being greedy, why can't they just leave the moon to the aliens?
theres nothing really exciting about the moon , period!

The Moon is just the first stepping stone to getting all of our eggs out of just one basket. The Earth could be rendered uninhabitable tomorrow like it has many times before. So it is just a survival strategy like insurance or like having a coat in the closet for when it gets cold outside. When we do travel beyond this planet many other species will go with us, a regular Noah's Ark.
