Yea I ride about half throttle untill it shifts. then I go full. Its much funner and much quicker all around. Im actually impressed by this 50cc...I would recommend to anyone with a good running but slugish bike. Ill post the longevity or wear when I encounter it if I do....Thanks for the input.

so you took out a few weights? Don't the others kinda have too much space to move around in? JUst wondering.

No. There is six single slots for the rollers. So each roller has its own bay/cavity to slide in.

well i guess recommending this in the alfa stage of its trial is pompous. because I dont actually know what is happening in the variator. But I can Attest and say its performance is much greater than stock. but with any upgrade can create extensive wear where there was none. Or catastrophic damage. My scooter was very cheap to obtain so im just experimenting. my 320# brother rides it and hes says " damn that lil thing can move" lol I believe I hit about 50++ mph down hill.

I have a 150 cc GY6...I recently replaced the rollers in my variator with "DR Sliders". I get better take of speed and a better top end. I used 13 gram...but you should match the weight of you current rollers.
